I think this has been the case for a few days now. We are just getting ourselves in a tizz playing off each others doubts. I havent any concerns that this will go through. Benteke was different, I believe we only had a look at him and werent convinced Villas value met ours - he only had 6 months of a good season as he was pony before christmas. Not £25m. Villa was worth every penny we supposedly bid but cant fight personal preference, he obviously didnt want a new challenge in a new league at 31 and you cant argue with that - he went where he was happy not for money (I would imagine). He who shall not be named (that brazillian chap) was never proven at a top level and there was a big risk in the fee they were demanding. Soldado is a completely different ball game, a classy, proven, prolific goalscorer, someone we have needed for a long time, who wants to come and 'can' be the difference between scrapping for 4th and maybe aiming that touch higher. If we want to keep Bale/AVB this is the one thats required.
