I don't know,

I saw it on the spy thingy the first line stated:

"Tranfers over the next week"

something about things being very fluid and could change at any time

But I think that is logical.

We've brought in a top striker, upgraded the midfield (Paulhino and Capoue for Huddlestone, Livermore and likely Parker) plus brought in Chadli as a versatile forward.

If we bring in a LB, BAE will go (but very lkittle ITK on that - nothing on Coentreao for sometime)
If we want to bring in another striker, Ade or Defoe must go
Goalkeepers - no ITK I can think of so far, but logically Gomes would go if we brought one in
Midfield - We have a full roster now, if we bring in Pjanic or someone else its likely someone will leave.
CB's are the only position we could bring one on without selling someone else.

IMO the position is fluid as no deals are imminent (except Parker going).

But all that could change quickly.

He hasnt said his most favourite topic though

If Val does have some info then he will post it.

But guessing what the ITK could be about just seems pointless.
As does posting "I will post later" in my eyes. Why not just wait and post the information when you can? Otherwise it's tease and of course people will discuss their guesses at what it may be

He is not teasing. He is just saying that he may get some more info later and will post it. I can't see the harm in that. A lot of ITKs do this without getting stick, so I don't see why VY should get any.

We are further forward though. AVB is covering for him in press conferences. Bale is refusing to play. Bale stayed and watched Wales and signed autographs etc, which he hasn't done at any of our recent games. Like it or not the mood and circus surrounding Bale has changed since the last day of last season.

Yeah that's it. We should say "Gareth, we want you at every game, heightening the media presence/speculation, having to answer endless reams of questions and taking the spotlight off of the actual team.

Good thinking...

Personally think the Approach we have taken this year was much better than the Modric, answer every piece of speculation angle.
Anyone with half a brain can sift through all of the inconsistencies the contradictions and downright lies in the media.

Now we even have people reading into how "vigourously" he trained (on his own) for Wales midweek :ROFLMAO:

You answer the speculation, people spin it or flat out don't believe you, this spectacle is all of the media's own making, and has opened a lot more people's eyes to the fact that they are just bullshit merchants. Which must be a good thing?

That's bollox! He's refusing to play! There's no class in that whatever spin they put on it! He's no better than Berbs or Modders in his actions! In fact least they had the bottle to say they didn't want to turn out for us! Hiding behind an injury and his management team is making him look a ****! And showing us no respect! The other two were shits but we knew what we were dealing with!!
Neither berbs nor modric were shits. Sol Campbell was a shit. The former were ambitious foreign football players and we got good money for them.

Disagree I'm afraid. Bale is a spurs player so should be with the team pre season, getting involved in the tactics of pre season matches and being seen in the media to still be happy to be at spurs. Him staying away does the opposite.

He's been at training.

I'm pretty sure that's where they go through tactics?

I thought it was refreshing against Espanyol that the whole focus of the game was on Soldado, Chadli, Paulinho, Sandro and Kaboul. If Bale had been on the bench or in the crowd, he would have been the only focus.

Did all the injured players do that?

Or were they more or less seen when healthy?

He didn't stay and sign autographs at the Espanyol game because he wasn't at the game. Neither were other injured players (BAE, Holtby). He was at the Wales game because he was part of the squad, so it would be pretty stupid to not be at the game. Your mountain is actually a molehill.

Well I think we are in for a very interesting last couple of weeks of the transfer window, AVB has said today we will continue to be active in the market.

Can't we just get Standard Liege to buy Coentrao, buy him off them, and then refuse to sell Bale to Madrid?

Just throwing it out there to you funky lot ...
Would it be possible to set up a ridiculous loan deal to RM? Something like 2-3 seasons?
- RM get their man
- GB gets to play for RM
- GB gets to play CL
- GB gets mega wages
- THFC gets a more experienced GB back eventually
- THFC gets dosh for the loan
- (Not sure where the commercial dough will go / be split though)

Huh? Huh! ... D'ygeddit? (y)
[/goes into hiding]

I threw this out there a week or two ago.
£15-£20m a season loan fee for 3 or 4 years. We get him back at his peak in a few years. Him laden with trophies.

Nope.

To say that Bale went missing a fair bit when you compare his contribution to the rest of the squad is a bit mental.

.

I never mentioned about comparing his contribution to the rest of the squad, I was talking about Gareth Bale in particular.

If someone did make those sorts of comparisons that would indeed be mental, and I would be forced to agree with you.

Berbatov and Modric acted in a way that is basically standard for all top level footballers now. It's unpleasant, but it's effective in terms of getting them what they want. As long as that continues to be the case then players will continue to act in the way that they did.

You are obviously the harshest of judges...If your assessment of GB is any yardstick I'd love to know what you thought of Kyle Naughtons season? ;-)
