My daughter was born 20-10-2010. Her mother's welsh and she's at nursery in Tottenham. She says "Bale Bale!" every time any football is on TV. She asked this morning "Why Bale is leaving Tottenham?" The answer that "Willian and Lamela will make it all ok" didn't quite cut it with her :(

Send that to the man himself

marcspurs over at SO
A couple of quick points...
Willian delay is work permit (so I hear)
Lamela work permit application gone in already, so deal must be close/done (as in fee agreed between clubs)

Sorry but I have to disagree. You simply can't put Bale in the same boat as them 2. He's done nothing wrong (that I know of) he kept quiet and not made any public request to leave.

This is a guy that was classed as a jinx not too long ago, now we're looking getting over £90m plus some incredible signings................I just have to disagree mate.....sorry

Dude I was kidding. Calling him a **** to a three year old, clearly that wasn't serious. Please don't say **** to children!

Well Marca finally reports Bale deal :(

http://www.marca.com/2013/08/22/en/...9d1a68efa5f2dbf1ba8ff695f42c0e2f&t=1377186446

Real will pay just over €99 million for the signing, which will be announced on Friday, once the Trofeo Bernabéu game in which Raul is to play has finished.
Tottenham has taken the necessary steps to close the deal. It does not want Coentrao to form part of the transaction, because Levy only wants cash. Willian, currently at Anzhi and who plays in the same position as Bale, has already committed to joining the English club.
With the arrival of Soldado and the Brazilian, only one piece is missing to finish off the puzzle – Lamela. Tottenham hopes to reach an agreement with Roma and announce the Argentinean's arrival.
That will be the moment when Bale can consider himself a new Real Madrid player. His unveiling will take place next week.

MarcSpurs has a good rep on SO. Gets his info through his football memorabilia business (turf etc) IIRC.

Doesn't post often but is well regarded.

First and last time I will ever respond to anything like this. Only because you are all panicking and I am being asked.
SSN are a joke. An absolute joke.
Everyone is free to believe the info given from any source they wish.
POTL

What i hope is that we have a clause where we have first right of refusal if the cheating, dirty scoundrel, corrupt, vile, putrid Madrid team ever sell him!

That's "only" £85m. It's a world record, but shy of what has been reported elsewhere. Hopefully they are just putting a positive spin on it, as I'd quite like us to get £90m+

I reckon we've settled for less on the basis we get more (i.e. enough to cover Willian/Lamela) up front.

Not that I believe anything Marca says but €99m (£85m) sounds about right. World record bid so that we can hold our heads up. Whenever I've seen anything like £93m or £93m+Coentrao I've always thought that seemed too high.

POTL has really come back into incredible form this window, and i'm not just saying it because he's putting our fears to rest, but just his info in general has been really clear and to the point and most importantly, accurate

agree. its this kind of info that made him one of our best. not the blue and yellow bs. glad to see hes back

Levy will provide an explanation on Gareth could simply mean why we turned down world record bids and told him to be silent, or even about the injury situation.

You didn't see that it didn't mention Levy.

It mentioned "Daniel".

Go check Elton John....

Yeah. His information was being treated with respect over there. So I kept it in here for now. But I doubt the mods will want to RO it.

Back in the day marcspurs was in. Why not now?

Maybe that's the problem.

He should have come out and say "I was born to play for spurs".

Problem solved.
