but look at the Liverpool next 3 fixtures:
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Palace (H)

I can easily see them having 19 points out of 21 in first 7 games :p

Swansea (suprisingly?) totally outplayed Liverpool in 2nd.
Not really. Thei midfield is OK but just not good enough. Gerard is still a fine footballer but several yrs past his peak and Lucas is also a good CM. That's their strongest duo though. Hardly puts the fear of God into you does it? Let's just not bother discussing Henderson (who is showing glacial signs of improvement) or the Welsh Xavi at any length.

Utd aside, and even that was easier given their stuttering start, Liverpool have had a ridiculously easy start to the season.

Can someone tell me what jonjo is mumbling please.

Not too sure but I was racking my brain trying to think who he reminded me of during the interview:

It's a nice distraction but the league only really begins to take shape around November-February time anyway before the final stretch. Not sure any team can tell what's what after a month's worth of football.

Citeh will improve, as will Chelsea. Results-wise at least. Squads will be thinned out due to injuries etc.

Liverpool were comprehensively outplayed there, certainly for the whole of the second half.

Absolutely.

Really enjoyed Neville and Carragher pre match. Immensely disappointed they awarded Sturridge MOTM though, really lazy IMO.

A decent finish for a gift wrapped goal, and semi involved for the Moses goal - which was another unforced error.

Better performers on the pitch tonight than Sturridge.
