I like the fact that the BBC headline for the game is 'Swansea hold Liverpool'.

Really?!

That's astonishing. It really is ridiculous, Swansea would of won comfortably had they not made those calamitous mistakes.

Said all day in the what our opponents are saying thread, that 9 points flattered them in their opening games. The only game they definitely deserved to win was the Stoke one.

even then they saved a last minute penalty for the points.

That said, not going to knock a 10 point from 12 start, they have looked pretty impressive at times this season already.

except for 45 min vs Stoke i dont think Liverpool have looked very good this season, and some of their players are just so overhyped. Most Scousers would tell you Coutinho is the best #10 in the league and Lucas the best DM, but truth is they are pretty avarage and that Aspas guy is a complete donkey.

Sturridge and Suarez on the other hand is so dangerous though.

Yeah for sure, its a good start - not denying that. What I take issue with is people getting excited reading the League table after a couple of games and extrapolating from that what the season holds.

I know Coutinho has a lot of talent, has moments of genius, and is very young, but he does tend to go missing, a lot.
The way pool fans, and the press go on about him you would think he'd be more involved.

why has he said they were in control until swansea scored their second??? i guess delusion flows from the top up there, jesus. after half time swansea were the better team by far and even in the first half fuck up frenzy they still had good chances.

i hate them. ****s.

He does appear to be in direct competition with Hodgson for 2013's most deluded manager.

He also begrudged their defensive mistakes for the Swansea goals! Ok, they might of done better - but wow, they were gifted their two goals and then claimed the second was a great counter attack lol...after Shelvey gifts Moses the ball!!!

Swansea dominated probably 65 minutes of that match, and it got even worse once Coutinho went off.

Once Coutinho was substituted, Liverpool got horribly outmaneuvered by Swansea. Coutinho had been dropping deep to provide an extra man to compete with Swansea but Aspas came in and...did...nothing...?

It's also not surprising at all for me to see Liverpool consistently decline physically in the second half of games. They've had to sit deep and hold on for dear life against Villa, United, and now Swansea. Lucas is a fine player but not a great athlete and has suffered from some big injuries in recent years, and Gerrard is 33.

This is IMO the biggest reason Liverpool will fall off. They are relying heavily on two players who are essentially ticking time bombs as far as picking up an injury is concerned. I wonder if BR still trusts Joe Allen, because he will need to perform at some point this season.

This match actually got me excited to play LFC. I think we match up very well against their midfield.

Absolutely.

Really enjoyed Neville and Carragher pre match. Immensely disappointed they awarded Sturridge MOTM though, really lazy IMO.

A decent finish for a gift wrapped goal, and semi involved for the Moses goal - which was another unforced error.

Better performers on the pitch tonight than Sturridge.

I didn't see the post match, took me dog for piss, am only just watching the last bit of it now, how the fuck does Sturridge end up with MOTM ? He barely touched the ball all game. I'd have gone with the Pozuelo myself.

I quite like Rangel. I think he'd really suit our system.

Jamie Carragher was so out of his depth on that debate, trying to fire shots at Neville but Neville is too diplomatic these days, answered the question brilliantly and agreed with everything he said.

BTW The question was who would you rate the best out of Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes.

MOTM I'd have given to Williams or Chico. Both absolutely brilliant today, and both really legit players when on their game. Used the ball well and snuffed out almost everything that wasn't gifted to Liverpool.
