yes, against FULHAM - shit team who were stuffed by West Ham not long back, and still NO GOALS from those half chances.
And then when we went a goal down? What happened then?
premature ejaculation, that's what.
We have the players, but unfortunately, we don't have the right man in charge

You are actually disagreeing that those chances occurred?!

And even if you'd agreed they HAD, it wouldn't have meant anything cos we were 'only playing Fulham?'

And we went a goal down, AND THEN CAME BACK TO WIN THE GAME. How do you make that sound like a negative?!

I try not to make ad hom attacks, but your opinion is so biased, I'm going to have to label you a muppet for not seeing how stupid you sound.

Tottenham match-winner Lewis Holtby: "All week I said I have to shoot more and I did into the top corner. You can't imagine how happy I am. It is a dream come true.

"We had so much bad things going on, so much negativity into the team. It was a great response from the team to come back. That is what the team needed.

"I hope we are back on track and get back to a winning streak."

He spoke to Adrian Durham a while ago, and he seems like he really wants us to do well.

Elated for him.

A win is great, but I'm still not feeling good about our teams setup and play. I feel this win masks the same issues we have week in week out...

Hopefully morale will lift and we start seeing a more fluid Tottenham in the weeks ahead.

We're creating chances and our guys just need to take them and learn to finish. That's the gap I see - not the build up play.

because of Lloris, post and linesman?
First of all, that ball isn't offside. Defoe jumping over it has no bearing on Stekelenburg's position because there was no deviation. Secondly, they hit the post after putting 10 men up in the 90th minute. Finally, having a good goalkeeper doesn't mean we're lucky to win games. You win games off the strength of your squad.

Ignore the fact we went 1-0 down.

We created 4 VERY good chances to score. We missed all of them.

We managed to only concede 1 goal, despite Dawson being all at sea.

We scored another 2 goals from nowhere, the defence and midfield chipping in.

We came from behind, and won.

This is Mandelson-worthy spin.

We pulled off a smash-and-grab, plain and simple. You can trot out the line that the mark of a top side is the ability to put on a ho-hum show and still grind out a win (and, to be fair, United have been doing that for as long as most of us can remember), but shouldn't we be doing just a little more?

Why? Are you sold on AVB yet? Do you not feel he can do more, considering his achievements at Porto.

Granted, it is a weaker league; but we have one of the best squads, on an individual basis, in the PL.

To be honest I have lots of opinions about AVB, some good and some bad, however what I refuse to be is some dickhead fan that would rather act like a penis than be a decent fan.

You may have missed it, but there are plenty of examples of said penises in this thread.

Sorry, I don't buy this 'it's only fulham' crap being spouted here by a few.

A team, who are all trying for a spot under a new manager... dimwits, clearly know nothing about football.

Great away win, well done lads, now time to build on this win.

We have played better. We have played better and drawn or lost.

Tonight, we went one down and came back from it. It showed grit, determination and the will to win.

It may not always be the most beautiful football we've seen from Spurs but I believe it will get better.

We won tonight, we got three points and we can and will do that again. We have to get behind our team and our manager and suppress the negativity because the team feels it and it affects them.

Well, my opinion might be clouded by the result but far too many people's opinion has been clouded by their perception of the performance.

Seriously, get some perspective!

Fulham, under a new man, played a far different strategy which was effective and we huffed and puffed but did what mattered.

Any win is a good win, any game that installs greater confidence in new players is important.

Holtby and Chiriches are gonna be floating on air after that, Lloris too.
Such a vital win.

Some of the stuff posted in this thread is mind boggling. I don't know whether people write it out of ignorance, laziness, stupidity or just a lovely little mixture of all three.

We don't create and we don't score goals? Ok, the second one the AVB haters can have, but it is completely dependent on the first part - that we 'don't' create. How people can look at the past two games (Utd and Fulham) and say we create nothing is beyond me. Off the top of my head against Utd Soldado went through and missed, then Lennon went through and shot straight at De Gea and I can recall other chances which weren't taken.

Tonight against Fulham, Paulinho does brilliantly then blazes over, Defoe goes through and it's saved, goes through again and hammers it over, cut back for Lamela who drags it wide, fantastic save from Steklenberg, pull back for Paulinho which is fluffed ... but yea, we create nothing, AVB is tactically inept.

What is actually the case, which those who are able to get further than hammering the keyboard with their knuckles and miraculously ending up with 'AVB is shit, we create nothing' can already see, is that we create, just none of the fuckers are scoring - but lets blame AVB, it's much much easier.

Hopefully Chiriches won his right to be in starting 11 now. Same for Holtby.
And opposite for Dawson and Defoe.

Chiriches really impressing me. We lost only one game when he was in starting 11.
