Should look like this when he screams at all the backpasses. LADS STOP THOSE F#CKING
SIDEPASSES!!!

AVB: We dont play in Barcelona we are spurs, we dont play 555 sidepasses to make the other team sleep.

That's the one huge positive in all this, to be only three points off Everton and Liverpool, who are being wanked over, is quite incredible.

So frustrating because we could be a good bit ahead of them had we been beating the likes of West Ham and Newcastle et al....

If we improve though, we're still very much in this fight for fourth.

If you actually watched the whole Liverpool game you would have indeed wanked. To compare the two games as an advert for football is a bit like saying that compared to Lady Gaga a big fat bird looks a bit of alright. You may poke both of them, but one of which you would do so with your eyes firmly closed. That in a nutshell my friend was the difference between the Spurs and Liverpool performance tonight.

I am shitting myself at the thought of Dawson defending against Suarez at the halfway line in a couple of weeks time.

Luckily we won chap, so thankfully AVB is safe for another game! Right now even though we weren't that great, I'm just happy we won!

Yes of course I'm glad we won but avb wow he isn't very good is he I am concerned for us this season.

The problem here is most fans underestimate EPL sides.
There shit and useless?
Really, this is the side that cost us CL football last year, remember we lost 1 0 at home.
There not in the EPL because there shit, they are there on merit and any EPL side can beat another on there day.
THERE ARE NOT ANY EASY GAMES ANY MORE, TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
They just sacked there manager, got a new one, there players are playing for there future.
They had 3 or 4 players closing down every time we had the ball.
Its fucking hard to play against teams like this, no matter who you are.
We created enough in the first half to be out of sight.
We have a lot of new players trying to find there feet.
If we keep winning ugly until the players get to know each others play then great, its called a winning mentality, man utd won many a title with this attitude.
Get behind the team until it starts to flow.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for this team to flow it probably won't happen.

Yes it's a bit concerning I guess we are looking at another home defeat.

Yep very important result for us defeat would have been galling. Different members of the squad stepping up with goals.

There are still obviously huge problems to sort out but job done for now. I agree that liverpool are looking ominous.

Cheer up everyone, we won!!!

GET IN! :D

If we're winning (the majority) of games and not playing our best imagine what will happen when we do start moving up into 5th gear?

Bring it on!

All season you've been calling for your mate Defoe to play, well in your opinion how did he do?

i watched the first half and the one thing that stood out for me was the change in formation. We started with inverted wingers and were there for the taking but after 15 mins Lamela and Lennon back on their familiar wings and we looked the much better team - our players looked like they finally had an outlet. AVB needs to drop this stupid inverted wingers.

Defoe and Paulinho just seem out of ideas at the moment. I dont understand why some say Defoe should start ahead of Soldado. Would we want Rasiak starting if he scored loads of goals against minnows across Europe? Fact is Defoe doesnt suit our attempted way of playing football. Has anyone noticed that many a managers at Spurs just havent fancied him as a starter? If he so much better than Soldado, then why didnt someone come in for him at around £10m? that would have been a bargain. He is a sub.

Paulinho needs to be given the freedom he had against Man Utd to push up and be a threat.

More importantly, AVB needs to understand that last season when we were looking like title challengers (before bale started scoring loads of goals) our CM partnership was Dembele and Sandro - then Sandro got injured. We looked good against Man Utd.... first time this season in PL our CM partnership was Dembele and Sandro. when Dembele is back, he needs to start with Sandro.

Was a very frustrating game yesterday. Dawson is just a liability to anyone with a slight bit of movement/intelligence as seen with Berbatov yesterday, he just spends the majority of the game on his arse. Was Kaboul injured yesterday? If so I think we need to start thinking about bringing in a new CB to compete with Vertonghen and Chiriches as Dawson just isn't good enough to rely on.

Another thing I find annoying is constantly trying Lamela and Lennon on the left wing when neither are capable of playing there comfortably. Surely Chadli was the suitable option considering the support he offered Vertonghen who looks shaky currently at LB. Even then if you're wanting to rotate the only real suitable option is Sigurdsson and tbh I thought it was silly to go into the season with one natural left winger, three right wingers and one left back. Even if BAE doesn't fit AVB's system he'd be a better option than putting our best CB there.

I thought he did fine. Great ball to Paulinho, great pass to Lamela. He was far more involved than Soldado.

I thought he was awful apart from the first 10mins. I love JD but he is not the answer. Our attacking threat realy came from Lamela and Lennon, and rarely did i see them interact with Defoe.

Absolute nonesense, far more involved?

In fact you can probably say his
Performance was no better than Soldado's on Sunday.

I have only just seen our goals and our first goal could well have been disallowed, Defoe was well offside strolling back like a walk in the park and had to be interfering.

I just don't think we move the ball quick enough and look to move into the space.

there was an example in the game yesterday when we broke, Defoe was to the left, someone was to the middle/right and we were running down the middle, instead of the person moving out wide they stayed in the middle meaning it was over crowded and couldn't get a shot in.

My stream was bad so couldn't see who it was at that point.
