I have only just seen our goals and our first goal could well have been disallowed, Defoe was well offside strolling back like a walk in the park and had to be interfering.
You can't have it both ways. If he is just strolling back then he's obviously not interfering, though I admit that referees and their assistants can't always be relied upon to make this judgement.

I just don't think we move the ball quick enough and look to move into the space.

there was an example in the game yesterday when we broke, Defoe was to the left, someone was to the middle/right and we were running down the middle, instead of the person moving out wide they stayed in the middle meaning it was over crowded and couldn't get a shot in.

My stream was bad so couldn't see who it was at that point.

Thanks for your informative post.

If you actually watched the whole Liverpool game you would have indeed wanked. To compare the two games as an advert for football is a bit like saying that compared to Lady Gaga a big fat bird looks a bit of alright. You may poke both of them, but one of which you would do so with your eyes firmly closed. That in a nutshell my friend was the difference between the Spurs and Liverpool performance tonight.

I am shitting myself at the thought of Dawson defending against Suarez at the halfway line in a couple of weeks time.

I;m not comparing the performances this evening, where the hell are you getting that from?. You've totally missed the point. I was merely saying that we can only improve yet sit just three points behind them and have struggled all season in front of goal.

just seen it on SSN also, could easily have been offside, jumped over the ball by the looks of it so has to be interfering for sure?

I thought it was another entertaining game, don't think any neutral could have watched it and said it was boring.
Any talk of AVB 'losing the dressing room' should disappear now, I thought all our lads have worked their socks off in the last 2 games.
Really good to see us come from behind with 2 cracking goals.
Well done lads, onwards and upwards.

Some fans one here are talking about Lloris' excellent performance almost in an "excusive" manner, almost apologising for that he won Spurs the game.....while the Toons fans blatantly celebrated Krul for him winning the game for Toons (vs Spurs).

What I see from those (not seen the Sky Match Choice recording yet) gifs is that Fulham were very deep & defensive

What I also see is that - surprise, surprise! - Defoe was off side, again; lazily pretending he's moving his ass out of the off side position, without much sense of urgency, while seemingly oblivious to the fact that him being off could prevent Spurs/him from scoring a goal.
The ref could in fact have disallowed that goal for "interference" .... as, although Defoe did not touch the ball, he could have been seen as distracting the goalie from his off side position. Oh well, he's 30 years now and will never learn. Luckily the ref let the goal stand.

It's not so much negativity as more saying it as it is our home form is wank you must have noticed I didn't expect this season to be another when we may miss out on top four.
I just want to see the best of spurs and this season we are not getting it.

The performance was the same as most this year. Painful, uninspiring and leaving me wondering how we had won. But where I first thought the bulk of blame lay with AVB, I'm beginning to think the players are simply not good enough. None of the seven signings has convinced me they are anything close to top players so far. The last two seasons suggest that selling two 10/10 players (LM and GB) and replacing them with loads of 6 or 7/10 players doesn't work. Not if you want to win the league.

Thing is, Spurs did not have any other choice. 1) They were forced to sell their 10/10 players. 2) Spurs can't afford to buy 10/10 players.

Yes we played shit but 3 points is 3 points and i was in a good mood after.

Also it plays a huge part (winning mentality) going into the next game knowing we won our last (so be it by not playing our best).

As a player would i worry about yesterdays poor performance or the 3 points and making sure we put things right against sunderland?

Spank you very much!!

I haven't watched a game for a few weeks because I'd lost interest after so many boring performances but thought I'd watch it yesterday to see if there was any improvement. At times I thought we looked quite good, mainly when Lennon was on the right and Lamela on the left as we had some width and was actually getting balls in the box! I still struggle to see what Paulinho offers us though? Maybe it's time to try Lamela at 10 and but Townsend or Chaldi on the left? There were a few glimpses of light yesterday but we still seem a bit off top 4 quality at the moment.

Why didn't they have a choice? Did someone hold a gun to DL's head and force him to sign the paperwork?

You obviously did not read the stories about the transfer dramas surrounding Modric and Bale (and you may add Carrick and Berba)....

I really didn't think we did too badly in terms of creativity. Definite progress has been made IMO. Some of the football really wasn't too bad.

A few times we opened them up and we looked to stretch them. The Walker & Lennon combo looks very dangerous at the moment.

That's in 3 of our last 4 PL games that we've created more than enough chances to win the game. Definite improvement on Everton, City, Hull & West Ham performances

Its all if and buts, performance wise. I thought Fulham gave their best and Berbs lead the line very well.
We rolled our sleeves up and did a great job getting three points.

Paulinho was so unlucky and wasteful. Thought the save by Stekelenburg from Paulinho was outstanding.

I went and thought we were awful. Great to win but poor defensively and no creativity.

Plus AVB seems further than ever on knowing what his best team is. I don't know either but i didn't buy them!

So many players who look of similar quality, all needing a run in the team to see if they are up to it but none of them getting one.

It all looks like no plan and no pattern- players bought because they might be good, rather than to a plan or need.

I think that the last time we had a plan was just before the kick-off at Eastlands. It was "Keep things tight, frustrate City, wear them down and exploit the space." There was not much wrong with the plan itself (though it was more than a bit a bit dull), it was just that City didn't seem to buy into it....:)
