I wasn't laughing back then, Rogers was always going to create a decent team at a club like that. Our problem is that Levy wouldn't know a good manager if one had 'top manager' tattooed on his baldy heed whilst giving him a blowjob!!!!

Thing is, Rogers was backed by the owners by keeping their best player and strengthened on top of that.
We on the other hand, bent over backwards to Real Madrid and sold Bale, and gave them a back rub on top.

RabbiKeane, just noticed your post about hoddles likely team. you say he wouldn't play Townsend as a number 10. I think it was before the Everton game (i could be wrong but it was definitely a recent one) where Hoddle showed a mock up of how he would set up the current Spurs team...guess where he put Andros.

Things are bad and I'm not going to try to talk anyoe off the ledge, just want to jump in here and say I'm keeping the faith and hope this will be AVB's "come to jesus" moment and he develops a little tactical flexibility. He's still a young, fairly inexperienced manager and hopefully he's learning from the recent run of crap. I would be disappointed if he left before the end of the season. I will understand if a change is made, though. 15 goals at this point of the season is terrible and, as positive as I remain about AVB, I have no counter argument for that weak run of scoring. It's baffling.

Not said with much seriousness to be honest - I completely agree and have said before that Martinez is too loyal and has too much class to pull a stunt like that anyway.

I just can't actually think of a manager I would particularly like in at the moment...
...and thats my concern with sacking AVB at the minute. I really don't fancy any of the options

Thanks to AVB, they're not our rivals these days.

Still....at least we're exciting to watch!

:(

Just wait for Eriksen to come back, it'll be raining goals for Soldado, he'll not be able to move without pinging it in the net.

Liverpool played exactly how we should be playing. A tenacious pressing game off the ball, quick passing and composure when on the ball. Our players look shit scared to have a ball at their feet.

Sorry to be that guy, but we got some good results under the previous manager. Annoying twat he might have been, but scores speak for themselves.

Yes we did and yes he is, but that has nothing to do with what I was saying!!

No. That's bollocks. ENIC is joint owned by Levy and Lewis which is the majority owner of Tottenham. Lewis and Levy are equals and in fact, I doubt Lewis exercises any control over Levy since the latter is the chairman and involved in every day to day operation. Lewis is an investor only really. I'm sure Levy consults his opinion from time to time but there's no way Levy is anyone's puppet.

Not 100% but wikipededia says lewis owns 70% to levys 30% of ENIC cant find anything else to prove me wrong, so not bollocks unless you can prove otherwise smart arse

Di MArzio, since Baldini's arrival, knows almost everything that is going on at Spurs. He was brilliant in the summer window. Bang on with everything.
He has connections everywhere, he is normally spot on with all transfer business.

Let's not get Capello or Hiddink etc. I never liked the idea of AVB because I have never been convinced of his ability. But I have always supported the idea of a younger manager with some chance of building a playing style that will last for a while maybe even beyond managers. The sort of thing Martinez did at Swansea, became imbedded in the club culture and all other managers since have worked to.
i'd love freund to get that chance to be fair

If Madrid had offered Liverpool eighty million Suarez would be in Spain now.

Rudi Garcia?

Why don't you just fucking buy Rome, Daniel?

...actually he's probably considered that, we're more likely to be playing in the Colosseum than a new stadium in the next few years
