I've just read that Tim doesn't have UEFA Pro license what means he couldn't be our long-term solution. He couldn't even manage us against Dnipro.
I don't know if it's true but definitely it's interesting.
Obviously love Hoddle, legend. But what has he done to make anyone think things would be better this time around? Apart from talk a very good game on Skysports.
Well, truely great managers manage.I don't want Hoddle anywhere near our management role, but this really is a terrible argument. Someone isn't currently doing something, therefore they must be bad at it?
erm Harry all is definitely not forgiven
Highest prem league finish twice, he did mostly good things for us

What was the last book you read?
I don't read books. I read the Daily Express and The Star.
Not the Guardian?
Too much writing in it.
Definitely more Arry than Andre then.

I partly see your dad's point, to be fair. Hoddle definitely had a problem with the fact that he was still technically a better player than 90% of the squad we had at the time and, according to several reports, was a bit of a show-off in traning with a "look, this is what I want you to do, see me doing this, it's easy" sort of attitude. My dad's first reaction to AVB's sacking was to suggest that Hoddle be given another crack at the job
He seems to think that Hoddle's problem first time round was his expectations of players who's ability did not live up to his own and that now we have a more talented squad who would be more capable of performing to the standard Hoddle would expect them too he would be more successful.
Frankly I don't agree with my Dad and I think he's chatting bollocks - some of this may come from him having a soft spot for Hoddle having watched him play for the club where as he was before my time.
I just don't think its fair to suggest the only problem with Hoddle's man management was having to deal with players less talented than himself and I don't think having more skillful and talented players to coach now will magically make Hoddle a better and more successful manager.
He did an ok job for England I will agree, ok at Chelsea and Swindon also but not spectacular really and he was woeful for us.
Club legend and deserves all the respect he gets for his playing days at the club - but I find it hard to justify any logic that he would be better than he was first time round.
Agreed. Not sure why there are so many `Arry haters around? Yeah he liked a bit of chat with the press but we played some of the best football I've ever seen us play. AVB also had issues talking to the press, slating them and the fans, neither which helped in him retaining his role.
I'm not disputing that he did well here, but after the last five months he had here (and his infatuation with us since) I don't want him anywhere near the club in any capacity again.
I don't want him back either I said it tongue and check, it was in reference to the fact there seems to be no good EPL experienced manager available.
Easy in hindsight but when we got AVB we should have gone for Moyles or Martinez

He also oversaw a mid season collapse twice and failed to manage a large adequately leading to a raft of disillusioned players.
