Yeah its funny, I started off writting that song as thats how I always sing it and half way through it occurred to me how in the modern day it wouldn't appear too "pc" so I stopped as a "humorous" sign of self awareness....

I'm going to play devils advocate here.

Perhaps there is something that we are NOT aware of that is causing this nothing news to blow up. Maybe the owners have a grudge against people with a particular colour of skin and didn't want to shake hands. If he was at a reception with the owners and no one shook hands I think you may understand his anger.

Let's wait for more "facts" to come out. As it is, the story is so trivial that many if us are tearing it as another primadonna footballer stamping his feet.

I don't get this. His agent says he isn't asking for a pay rise so it doesn't seem to be about the money. Is the birthday part a red herring? Is he saying that he asked the owners to say something to him but they refused?
