That's a good point, but I think the only club who will bid enough to take him are PSG and they've already spunked 50 million on Side Show Bob. The ONLY worry I have is that Lloris counts as homegrown for them, something they desperately need because of their FFP sanctions. I'm guessing it would take over 25 million to pry Hugo from us and I doubt even the Qataris will sanction that. I mean, they practically own Platini but they can't embarrass him that much publicly, can they?

I mentioned it the other day but Matt Targett is one of the Saints youngsters we should be looking at. Left back who is rated more highly than Shaw.

Shaw would pay back 50% of his fee in marketing and merchandising revenue alone. Not to mention he fills the single biggest hole on the team.
Sometimes its worth overpaying to fill a need, or if there are other considerations.

I feel bad for their supporters. I enjoyed watching Southampton and a few of their players. They will have money, but I don't see them re-investing all of it. I think they will fail to attract some players. Hopefully their academy does the job again, and they stay up.
