Yes you may, but please, ask it in the players thread. That's why it's there, in order that people might discuss the merits or otherwise of players linked.
Can I start a thread in the transfer rumours about him since it seems as though we are interested according to most recent info?

Would be quite happy for Schneiderlin to come in and Bentaleb to go on loan the other way. Doubt Southampton would see him as an adequate replacement though. Not having a go at Bentaleb but I don't think he's anywhere near the full package yet, and our first X1 isn't the place to be trying to develop him IMO.

Would rather our kids stay and play in the Euros, be a good place for them to show the manager what they can do, with the added benefit of leaving some of our first team at home. They can always go on loan in January when the groups have been done

Bentaleb, IMO, is OK when he's on the ball, but doesn't read the game particularly well and has been piss poor in the tackle on numerous occasions. If he could sort that out I'd agree with you, but to play that position in the EPL at the moment? Not for me.

Of course he's not gonna be the finished article yet, he's 19 years old. He has the raw ingridients to become that player for us as he has plenty of time to improve.

Which is why it wouldn't do him any harm in going out on loan and playing every week to gain more experience. He has plenty years ahead of him to be successful at Spurs.

I agree - I haven't suggested otherwise.

I would be a huge advocate of getting Bentaleb out on loan to a team that plays decent football as he is in desperate need of 1st team football which we cannot give him most weeks

agree a years loan would do nabil no harm, the lad clearly has talent imo. Interesting news regarding the two from southampton, them and rodriguez for left back if we could manage to get him in would make us very strong defensively imo.

This makes the info hard to believe in my opinion.

Can see why you'd say that and I would have thought keeping Vert would be a priority but based on his attitude and performances last season I can understand being open to selling if we get offered top many. I'm not suggesting he will definitely be sold but just telling you what I was told.

This is totally opinion:
If we need to generate cash to spend then who out of our current squad would generate most? After all, this has been ENIC's model at Spurs. So if we could sell Vert for £20m and buy Lovren for £15m what do you think levy would do?

With regards to Daws it may have more to do with his importance off the field as well as in the dressing room. We got rid of a lot if players who understood the PL last summer (Parker, Caulker, Hudd). These players also knew the club. Again this part is opinion as I don't honestly know why the club would rather keep him than sell.

See, going by this reasoning, we are just saying to any player who has a good season for us, stop trying, mooch about a bit and you'll get your move... It create a dangerous precedent.

I actually agree with the off the pitch part with Daws...

The last two summers we were understandably concerned primarily with the loss of Bale and Modders and how do we replace them.

But at the same time we lost Ledley, Gallas, Parker, VdV and Crouchie....we lost leaders in the clubhouse and didn't replace them....so we ended up with a squad that had no leadership from management and not enough leadership in the clubhouse or on the pitch.

Let's hope so, the thought of having to watch another excruciating season of Dawson trying to play the high line defence, or AKA Bambi On Ice, makes me shudder.
I'd be absolutely staggered if 'arry doesn't come a-knocking' for Dawson's services.

At least Andre had the presence of mind to try and shift him on so I'm hopeful Poch will follow suit.

Or it's saying we won't tolerate your shitty attitude if think too good for the club.. Maybe.. both ways i guess

Because we had 13 of our 14 clean sheets when he was playing?

(Cue usual Dawson clichés.)

Pretty sure the cliche is you rolling out this fairly useless stat when Dawson is brought up.

Dawson also started:

West Ham lost 0-2
West Ham lost 0-3
Chelsea lost 0-4
Man City lost 1-5
Liverpool lost 0-5
Man City lost 0-6

And was subbed on in the 23rd minute:

Liverpool lost 0-4

Keep bringing up clean sheets against stoke tho

Dawson cannot play against top sides thus needs to be upgraded. Lovren would be terrific hopefully the ITK is correct

So did Lloris.
