Brentford is a great fit for him I think. They try to get it down and play football. Obviously can stay in touch at Hotspur Way too.
thanks mateDone.
Really pissed off about this.
I am not saying he's guaranteed to be a first team star of the future, but he has done enough to deserve some first team experience, training, subs and cup starts. He was nominated as young player of the year last season for his league FFS. How much more has the kid got to do to get a chance.
I'd sooner watch him try (and fail if necessary) than spend another year watching Lennon do fuck all quickly.
It's not even a risk as he couldn't contribute less than Lennon.
Very disappointed he has gone out on loan again without being given the opportunity to show what he could do. I think Sherwood would have certainly given him a chance.
Lets say there was an injury and we needed Pritchard. You're essentially saying that we would have to buy a replacement instead of just recalling a player we own who has a break clause built into the loan to play him. The FA would make a club buy another player even if they wanted to recall a player they own and save that purchase money? I doubt that.FA's standardised rules, section 6.6 for temporary transfers (loans).
I'd post a link but it simply leads to your computer downloading a PDF-file, so I'll save you the trouble.

I'm of the opinion that the best thing for him is as many minutes of professional football as possible at this age, he'll learn much more about himself playing 40 games in the Championship than a few Europa appearances against part-timers and the odd sub appearance.Really pissed off about this.

IIRC, the reason we couldnt recall Townsend from QPR when Bale got hurt is because there was no break clause included in the terms of the loan.

Your plan doesn't take into account the player himself - you get the odd phenomenon who's self belief is cast iron, but most young players' confidence is a fragile thing and just spending a year playing in reserve fixtures and hanging around can do as much damage as being thrown in too early.
I think the loan system has worked really well for us in the last couple of years - but it has to be the right fit for all parties.

He's done that though. been packed off, done really well (last season and the previous). He's now 21, he needs to be tested.
I don't understand how a team who gives Lennon 28 games a season can be scared of giving Pritchard 10-15 games between the league, Euro and domestic cup.
I think right now that, and regularly being involved in and around the first team squad, learning from them etc, would be more beneficial than spending another 12 months schlepping around with the shit kickers of the Championship.
He had the chance to at the end of the season when we had nothing to play for and he gave him 7 mins in the 3 games he was eligible.Very disappointed he has gone out on loan again without being given the opportunity to show what he could do. I think Sherwood would have certainly given him a chance.
That is in reference to loans with no recall clause. We have recalled players from loan in the past such as Smith when at Leeds.FA's standardised rules, section 6.6 for temporary transfers (loans).

He had the perfect opportunity to give him a chance in our last two meaningless games of the season, but only gave him seven minutes.
We still had points to play for and 7 minutes is better than nothing at all.He had the chance to at the end of the season when we had nothing to play for and he gave him 7 mins in the 3 games he was eligible.
