Random ITK is my favourite kind of ITK ever in the whole wide world. The Lennonsjetboots stuff (on COYS) still makes me moist and we had some of our own a couple of years ago (fucked if I can recall who though, something to do with a medical) that a few people on here refused to entertain (in a manner which cost them dearly) and it turned out to be spot on.
Maybe when i mentioned Defoe had an MRI and was injured but the club were keeping it quiet during the January transfer window. That was about 1.5 - 2 years ago? :)

if it means schneiderlin in then can't say i'm not happy, sandro was a good player but was never something special and the job he does capoue does it better imo and so can schneiderlin do a lot of the getting stuck in he used to do

I've been incredulous at some of the things I've been reading about Sandro recently, like scores of Spurs fans have turned into goldfish.

Yes fair enough, there are question marks over Sandro right now, but in a good few phases of seasons gone past the guy was an absolutely dominant DM for us and had an absurdly high potential. His ability to read play and intercept without diving in was exceptional, he offered driving runs forward, has a good long shot and when not rusty his passing was fine.

Seems to be a lot of short memories and I find it sad how people don't seem to have realised how good this player was/potentially still is.

Also, yes some injuries never fully recover but there is NO way that people can ascertain that right now off of last season. It takes time to get it back.

And up to this point, Capoue has yet to prove he is half the player Sandro has been in the past ( albeit is clearly a better distributer of the ball )

That was Siggy with the doctor, and no one believed it, and questioned of in the usual bi-polar fashion. Definately my favourite kind of ITK especially when it just cones from nowhere.

There was another one with a doctor too way back and a few usernames ago but I remember the Siggy one well it was just before or after you did the sneaky paragraphs starting in G.Y.L.F.I.

Didn't we have someone who bumped into huntellar and gave info on holtby too?

God bless random ITK. :)

And I have to add, I agree with A&C, genuine random ITK from a trusted poster is the absolute best and often proves to be the most accurate

Eg Holtby/Huntelaar & Sig medical

The paragraphs thing would have been before the medical stuff I think, i'm pretty sure I was told it was done a couple of days before I did that. Actually, now you reminded me of it you've given me the horn. I enjoyed that one.

Did we not have one about somebody being from Dawson's home village and being in the pub with him or in his old village cricket team as well ?

No one credits me for the time I told you all I met Vinny Samways and he had just bought some crisps, I said it was wheat crunchies and everything.

Fees for Sandro and Paulinho would cover three quarters of the price for Schneiderlin and Griezmann.

If you could sell the former two for 30 and buy the latter two for 40. I think a lot of people would be up for that!

Ok, back to reality.

Would adore this partial result to the summer, despite how much I like Sandro on a personal basis.

All of this talk is making me bummed that I didn't join SC before last summer. Need to start a thread just for stories of ITK's past.

I prefer Sandro over Schneiderlin. Pochettino is a top coach. General consensus is that he makes players better so if there is little to choose between the two now, can you imagine how much better Sandro would be under his guidance?

Sandro is more than just a bad ass destroyer. He's capable of sharp, forward passes and aggressive pressing. He makes interceptions rather than tackles so he's an intelligent reader of the game and I think he's great for the dressing room.

Of course, there are issues over his injury record and the length of his contract. If those two can be resolved, I'd prefer we keep what we have in this area. Let's not make changes in areas where we have strong resources.

We are in danger of transitioning for yet another season.

I don't think you can say it's going to be a transition season. We're addressing our key weaknesses - LB, probably a CB, LW and possibly a midfielder more suited to Poch's style.

The main core of the team will be staying the same:

Lloris
Verts
Sandro/Dembele/Paulinho
Erikssen
Soldado/Adebayor

I totally understand where you are coming from, especially with people putting Capoue above him (who also has injury recovery and form issues). Sandro is one of my favourite players and like you said when on song is one of the best pure DMs around. He's a likeable lad too.

Personally I'd probably rather Capoue go instead as I care more than Sandro but I think it's the link to Schneiderlin (who would be a perfect fit for us IMO) which is making me much more accommodating of the sale of either of them.

The thing with Sandro is that he's had numerous injuries in the last 3 years (and is struggling to recover his form), he's apparently stalling on a new contract and has also always stated his desire to play in Italy.

When you take these things into consideration it's a lot easier to accept his sale if the price is fair, especially if we can get in a reliable replacement in Schneiderlin.

There would be some good ones. And Blue and Yellow would be the least of them

1) Levy running around Spain with a wheelbarrow of money
2) Fernando Torres (that one was running for two windows back in 2005-2006 I think)
3) Arse Shaving
4) Iaquinta
5) Fabiano, nuff said
6) Jamie Weir doesn't turn off his mic
7) The taxi driver that was some young French starlet.
8) Ask Dan Ashcroft
9) Modric out of the blue late on a friday night when we were all drunk
10) Berbatov gets kidnapped by SAF

What on Earth makes you think this? We overspent for him last year, and since then he's had an average season and a poor World Cup. I can't see a way his value could stay as it is, let alone rise!

If it did, then we'd be selling him straight away. It'd be utterly stupid not to.

David Luiz had a worse WC and is still worth an insane amount, in fact aside from Neymar the whole Brazil squad were shite, as were the whole Spain and English squads.... no point judgin him off the back of the WC.

Also note that in Brazil's defeat to Germany Paulinho didn't feature in the first half...

My favorite ITK was the guy who claimed Bale's move to Real Madrid was just a hoax to boost the publicity of Bale and our club.. can't remember his name. His hope killed me.

Also, I remember when Roger Morgan called Chelsea bidding £22 million for Modric before it had broke.

Edit: before he wrote it in the Daily Mail :)
