Take no notice of the Verts part, the story comes from AS so they are bound to find an opportunity to add a Barca or Real rumour when a club is mentioned in another story

Don't agree with the lack of respect AliZ seems to get. Might not get everything right but he's still ITK. If he wasn't then he wouldn't be allowed on here. How does anyone know that Lascelles definitely isn't signing? I believe Hertyid said it would happen too. We'll find out on September 1st.

Agreed, I'd imagine if they bought another it would be a cheaper one, Agger has been linked. Pretty sure Verts will stay.

Personally think a loan to Southampton for Chiriches to sweeten the Schneiderlin deal would be perfect all round (does sound like we are unsure of Vlad).

I think there's a lot of both under and over estimating Bentalab. He look a good prospect, plays a steady game, seems confident, works hard and has a lot of potential but he's a way from the finished product
Personally I'd be more inclined to loan him out for a season at a PL club that will play him regularly to give him more playing time and more experience. He'll have less pressure on him and he'll get much more playing time than he will sitting on our bench this season hoping for a chance

jj is similarly ridiculed by many on coys, so was potl by most of ftl

As I understand it Ali works in some capacity at Tottenham, that can cover a lot of things of course, but I think he hears things and passes them on in good faith. Like most he'll get things wrong but I agree he only tells what he hears and says it whether it's good news or bad
It's interesting too that Lascelles has been said to be a done deal by a couple of people although that was a week or two back, strange that even the much maligned OS hasn't managed to report it yet if indeed it has been done

I miss POTL. He clearly was very close to things. The Willian one made him look bad but it was 'done' to all intents and purposes - so when he went off to prepare a press release etc he didn't know that while his back was turned Willian had jumped in a helicopter to Stamford Bridge

What a strange thing to do. I know that Sandro's had his injury issues but he's not really had a chance to get back up to speed yet.

I would've thought that the Schneiderlin Capoue partnership would be our first choice but I would say that Sandro would be the most obvious backup to Capoue (with Bentaleb backup to Schneiderlin).

I'd be quite upset if that happens. I really rate Sandro when fully fit and wouldn't swap him for many others in the defensive midfield position.

Big mistake if we let Sandro go. I know there have been a few grumblings about his personality being better than his ability lately, but when he's on form I honestly believe he's one of the best DM's in the league. He just needs to keep his fitness up and get a run of games together. I'd sooner get rid of others before Sandro. Schneiderlin and Sandro either together or fighting for a place between them is a massive plus for Spurs. I hope Schneiderlin comes and Sandro stays.

IMO Pottle was an 'unofficial' outlet for the Club and after the Willian debacle they shut it down.
