I am fairly sure I have a 2nd hand connection to A&C. A friend of mine from Spain has told me a story about a man in her town who is known to coax sheep down to a creek, stick their back legs into his waiters so they can't run away, and go to town. If that's not A&C, I don't know who is.

I didn't know A & C had waiters but when you think about hit why would he miss them out

I guess your on predictive text, it's well known to fvck up good jokes, relationships too on occasion

I think Sandro is vastly over-rated by the majority on here but I would still keep him, I see a use for him and his ability to break up play in some of the tougher games. Plus I think others such as Dembele and Paulinho aren't really great fits for the central midfield roles either but would command a bigger price tag and allows us to recoup more to pay for Schneiderlin/whoever.

If we're worried about sandro's fitness shouldn't we think twice about going ballbag deep on Rodriguez?

I'm not sure it's just the knee injury with Sandro. He's had so many muscle injuries as well I just think he's become a bit of a sick note. I still wouldn't let him go. As others have said, when fit he's one of the finest DM in the league.

I think Sandro's vastly underrated.

Hear no end of bull shit about what he can't do.

Sure he hasn't been at his best for over a year now due to injury and what not, but if there's even a chance he can be the player he was then selling him is lunacy.

Sandro has been, at times, a fantastic player for us. His ability to break play up was incredible, and in terms of pure defensive midfielders I think we've seen few better.

But the idea of having a player who only does that role is being phased out of the game a bit now, and whilst the midfielders need to have defensive qualities, their ability to then do something with the ball is very important and this is an area that Sandro has always been lacking.

Schneiderlin is clearly superior to Sandro in terms of passing, whilst the stats show that he also covers all of the defensive side as well, so I think it would certainly be an upgrade. We then also have Capoue who can do the defensive side of things together with a whole host of attacking options.

If Sandro is to leave, then it would feel similar to when Palacios left. It would be a shame, but probably the right time for it to happen.

I've seen it said no end of times on here how he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. Maybe 'vastly over-rated' was an exaggeration but still... He's a good player at what he does with his ability to break up play and protect the back four, but... I agree though, shouldn't sell.

Offers more than either of them imo
Hm, in what? His passing? His shooting? I see him as a destroyer, that wins the ball back, and then gives the ball to someone Like Dembele, or Paulinho. So to compare them is odd. He compliments them.

Particularly with the injury question mark as well.

Seen Sandro score two worldies. Seen Dembele and Paulinho score.

Sandro can and does pass the ball forwards quicker than both.

And two players that need constant reassurance from other players can do one... ;)

sandro's a better player than dembele and paulinho

Dembele and Sandro have both got so much ability and could really be coached into playing poch's system. A little while back, they looked like the best central midfield pairing in the league when fit.
Paulinho is a different story, I really don't see what he adds other than arriving late in the box. I felt he looked tired after the confederations cup and fear that this year won't be much different. Would much rather we offloaded him considering we'd probably get a bigger fee.

Players such as Sandro are great when they are fully match fit the problem with the likes of that type of player is that their careers are forever hampered with injuries.

Skysports Italia reporting that Iago Falque has joing Genoa for £4m (5m euros)

one more player off the list, good but not good enough for Spurs

I agree

Its about multiple dimensions all over the pitch giving more attacking options without compromising your defensive ability.

GK's are becoming sweepers (Lloris, Neuer)

Fb's are becoming wingers etc...

That remains to be seen.

But i'd be disappointed to see that's not the case at some other club.
