Where is the ITK that we are TKO on MM? Ta. Oh and it's not in the RO.

Genuine question
I've just put it into the Read Only.

I'm guessing, but I think everyone else was too busy fashioning nooses, preparing cocktails of powerful sedatives, moaning about Levy and/or giving us their expert onions on Remy again to have the time to add it :D

It just makes me dislike the likes of Dawson even more. Holding the club back by refusing to leave.

But then we should understand their decision and forgive them because they're unwilling to swap £60k a week for £50k a week. What a hardship.

I don't know why so many of us equate signings as a mark of potential success.

Leave the coach (and he's the first proper coach we've had for a while) to his job with what we have until Christmas if need be, then we can start making changes for what we need and what we no longer do.

Completely agree with this. Martinez made a bigger difference last season to Everton than any of the signings. I think the disappointment of missing out on players can sometimes inflate their true ability in some people's eyes.

CB is the most obvious weakness to our squad in my opinion at the moment and I hope there is movement on this but even some of the traditional 'big 4' have serious squad deficiencies. Good coaches/managers can overcome these and its not just Tottenham who have to deal with it...

This latest ITK fits in exactly with my interpretation of the deal. We bid £10 mill-take it or leave it. Instead of negotiating up to £13 or £14 mill Krueger went to the media and said MS is not for sale and Soton don't need the dough.. Hence MS tweet and IMO the deal has not moved an inch since.
Let's see what ours and Soton's results are in the next few games and see what happens.

Wait and see yeh ? Just like the teams around us have done ?

Most of the teams around us have gone backwards - Liverpool, Man U. Everton have managed to stand still.

You could argue we've improved as we've got a better manager.

Stop panicing.

Just maybe Dier and Davies may just settle and improve the back four enough this year.

Lets be honest, whilst we'd all love a marquee signing to get excited about, we have a bloody decent squad and maybe with the right manager in place, we could have a good season.

Nothing to be all doom and gloom about, in fact I feel quite excited about it.

Looks like we'll have to largely make do with the squad that we've got.

That shouldn't really be an issue considering the amount we spent on them in the first place, so now it's looking like it's down to the Poch-meister.

It's really important that the club fully support & back Pochettino in his first transfer window as our manager. It's that simple really.

Did Blake Griffin take over your account?

I seem to remember Lloris talking about being impressed/persuaded by our ambitious plans, which I assume involved the transfer market, when he was signing his new contract as well.

The reality is though we're planning for a new stadium and I don't know what we can or can't do, feasibly, so there's no point in getting too down beat about it.

If the latest 12 million for MS is accurate it does make you doubt how serious we were about getting him though as that's derisory in today's market.

Ah well, lets see where we are after the window shuts and then reflect. Still optimistic enough given we have Poch.

Oh how I wish I could post the image of the Suicide Squad, from Life of Brian.

Perfect for the occasion but, 10 days to go so lest see what happens, like JJ says, we'll do some business but I'm sure there will still be some on suicide watch.

Yes I see no correlation between teams who buy decent players and success (y) :banghead:

Also, its not impossible that he loses too many games and doesn't even have a job Christmas..

Pretty fickle. "Dislike Dawson even more"... Dawson?... Jesus wept.

This is so spurs.

You win some you lose some. At least Sandro might look a bit more cheerful now....

Mr Pink will be as we speak being admitted to the local psychiatric ward, but dont worry he so high he thinks hes at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

What was the first thing Martinez did ? Strengthened... Barry was instrumental,McCarthy was also massive for them, lukaku fantastic and defelou exciting.... He addressed what they needed and when out and got it done. That's what Martinez did for Everton most importantly. A little bit more than vorm Davies and dier I'm afraid

I'm really not that bothered whether we make anymore signings.

We've already made the biggest one in Pochetino and this season was always going to be a bedding in one. New philosophies, tactics etc.

Reserve keeper, LB and a young CB were priorities and sorted.

I'd love both MM and MS in but as we've been told and is becoming more obvious, need outgoings first.

I personally think (a fit) Kaboul and Vertonghen are good enough for the prem, with Dawson and Dier for the cups.

Now let's all stop all the "the end is nigh" hari-kari stuff.

And get behind our team

Would you?
Would you leave your job to go to one on a lower salary if you had the choice to stay?

Don't tell me it's different for footballers, because it isn't. Humans are humans.

And if Dawson wants to stay and fight for his place rather than leave, then fair play to him.

On one hand I am grateful. We run a tight ship, we are competitive and we have new infrastructure which will allow us to progress to heights where we once were.

On the other?

Were being held back.

If we just conducted ourself with a bit more gusto and aggression, we could actually discover that we are still a massive club.

Some of the best players do want to play for Spurs. I dont think we do enough to make it happen
