So....

Umtiti for Chirches - both LCB, ball playing, not very physcial etc.
Fazio for Dawson - Both RCB, big, physical, aerially good etc.

That wouldn't be too bad imo.

Thanks, I actually joined in July 2008! Just been quiet.

After the post that received a winner rating from Rob I think it may be:

His boy - as in Pochettino's boy, Musacchio/Fazio.

Looked on in wonder - self explanatory.

Which direction will the pig go - Southampton or Westham

The player in question refers to the quote from Pig and Pepper Alice Adventures in Wonderland! Written by Lewis Caroll, real name Charles Lutwidge Dodgson - Dawson (who has always dodged leaving until now)!

That's my best effort!
Surely his boy is Schneiderlin?

trix on samuel umtiti:
Been told we are interested. This has come from my mate via an agent, but not one of the regular ones so salt required.
He is young, but he certainly fits the profile of ball playing CB we seem to be looking at.
We have been interested for a long time

West Ham are looking for a centre back so Dawson could be an option for them.

I can't see us doing any business with Southampton this window. Seemingly too much brinkmanship/bad blood between the clubs over Pochettino/Rod/Schneiderlin. If they're quoting 27m for Scheinderlin, how much do you think we'd be quoting them for any of ours players?

His boy looked on in wonder and asked in which direction did the pig go?

Dawson will be at either QPR or Hull IMO but West Ham could dip in and is more viable to him as he remains in London but it may just be a loan offer.

This to me is interesting..the long time links to players whilst changing of managers points to the inner circle in the spurs hierarchy holding the transfer aces rather than the manager?

Er... pretty much, mate!

Where've you been?

We don't have 'managers' we have 'head coaches' and have done since Redknapp left.
And whilst they have input, they don't do deals, Levy does, Baldini does, 'the committee' (mysterious as ever) does the transfer work. That's why it irritates me when you get a Pochettino press conference and they just ask him about transfers: it's pointless, he's only slightly influential in that department.
