Things have become a lot clearer today imo. This deal kills Schneiderlin deal dead, Sandro and Holtby leaving. It's all pointing (hopefully) to a deadline day attacking signing.

Maybe we're buying Southampton's replacement for them...to save them paying more as everyone knows the amounts they've received this summer lol

Whilst I am pretty happy with this window I won't get too excited until it's over. If we fail to bring in MS and lose Holtby and Sandro without bringing in an attacker, that would be a kick in the teeth. I just hope that when JJ said a signing might surprise us (or along those lines) then it's an exciting attacker

Agreed. I really, really want us to bring in Jay Rodriguez. He'd be perfect for squad balance as he would play LWF and offer proper cover for CF (not "I'm sure Dembele could cover CF at a pinch"-cover; he'd be a genuine option), and he would bring the goals that our side still lacks.

I was watching The Matrix. Then I came up and saw this. I clearly took the blue pill rather than red... Jesus H. C.

Agree this seems to pave the way for one or two of Sandro/Holtby/Paulinho to leave. Sandro's fitness and lack of game time due to injury may be his reason for transfer rather than any lack of skill or desire. But am surprised that Holtby's not been given more of a run out, given how lively he looked under MP in preseason.
Got a nagging that holtby's rumoured tendency to muck about too much might be behind it.

Just tuned back in.. is there still an uncertainty regarding Fiorentina?

Not much of a choice though is it.. random Serie A team or the PL leaders! (who already have 57 CMs)

Of course it did (presuming it gets done) but I took the naive decision to believe it'd be an exciting player, someone we'd have actually heard of. At the same time it could be Stambouli, don't think anyone knows what's going on atm tbf

To be fair, I did wake up this morning and think "the only thing this Spurs side is missing is another decent central midfielder, we are seriously lacking in that department"

I'm not knocking Stambouli, but I really don't understand why we're signing another midfielder, especially one who will want playing time? We're stacked at CM already.

I was under the impression that it was Schneiderlin or nothing, so really surprised by this.

I took the liberty of making him a bit more exciting!

That's not racist is it?

I'm not racist, and to prove it, I have this appraisal:

I think this guy will be replacement for sandro as cover dm for capoue.

Sneiderlin would replace dembele I think as the other cm, with bentaleb as back up (and paulinho in the mix for the 3 behind the striker).

Not saying we will get ms but I don't see this signing as ruling it out.

Just from the few clips I've seen he looks a much better fit in Pochettinos system then Dembele, Paulinho and Sandro. Not saying they aren't good players but it was reported that Pochettinos major concern after taking over was how we moved the ball out of defence and into attack, hence the importance of Signing Morgan S. and how Capoue and Bentaleb seem to be first choice.

As great as they were as a partnership I would be very surprised if we see Sandro and Dembele line up together again.

Well, here's a Marsellies fan in OM forum trying to convince Stambouli to not to go to Swansea & sign for them instead...

http://www.omforum.com/benjamin-message-to-you/#sthash.Dwi6CuMi.dpuf

Benjamin, we have so much in common that I would like to challenge you. We are both born in Marseille and as your father, I grew up in Rodez! So you see, it's like family. And besides, I feel a bit like your big brother and therefore the responsibility to advise you, because you are at a crossroads in your career bro.

Here are 5 reasons why you absolutely undeniable should choose OM rather than Swansea.

1 The Premier League, decoy for technical players
You are a very technical and tactically clever player, but we lie not, it is too close to that, you're not a brute in terms of physics. I am obviously not talking about quantum but rather barbaque. Us, it would give pearls before swine , no one will see your skill and everyone, commentators spectators, will promote the first Taylor or Williams that will come a big tackle from behind. In addition, I invite you to read the statements of Suarez, Aguero or the other, you'll morfler and arbitration will not help you. Beware of injury!

2 Swansea FC is no longer what it was
On one side, you have the opportunity to experience one of the best coaches in the world, recognized for advancing at an astonishing pace his players. And on the other, you have Gary Monk, nag former defender who discovers his first experience as a coach after 20 years mainly in the English second division. Are you really going to bury you there in 24 years? Somebody said that Michael Laudrup was fired? Little brother, I know you have in you the ability to play at a big club and even for France.

3 Team France, precisely
At two years of the Euro in France, in a hostile and unstable environment, it is absolutely unlikely that you succeed in imposing you fast enough and hard enough to find yourself in the France team. Sylvain Distin looks! An average Premier League club never gives access to EDF, unless you are already part of the group France. While at OM? You make three good games and now a selected you . Remember in high school, you had to be part of the band Kevin to be popular, even if Kevin was between us I can tell you now because there are prescription beast to eat hay.

4 Becoming alcoholic Swansea or star in your hometown?
Swansea is still a bit depressing for a son of the Mediterranean as you. You see you spend your evenings booze lukewarm beers watching the rain fall and making belching contest with 5 and Taylor Williams of the workforce? You'll rust there! In addition, the specialty of Swansea, it is an old soup with lamb. Do your calculations, pastis, bouillabaisse and evenings Mistral or boiled lamb, warm beer and gulp contest with big Welsh who are missing teeth?

5 Swansea (ingue with the accent of Marseilles), the swan song?
Last, if needed another to convince you. I went to see a psychic who analyzed all your prospects and is completely certain: you're at a crossroads and you absolutely have to make the right choice. The evidence is reliable, she predicted that I would lose my wallet from my visit, and that's what happened. She says if you sign in Swansea, will tackle a big nag, you're going to spend six months away from the land, and he will not even take a yellow. During your recovery, you're turning to alcohol and end up getting pregnant Anawedd Taylor, 1m73, 96 kg, and that there is 22 teeth. And in 2016, you'll find yourself moved to Leyton Orient.

If you choose OM, you will become captain in 2015 following the departure of Mandanda, and you will hold the Euro 2016 alongside Pogba and Matuidi. In addition, you will become the next face of Kinder Bueno.

That's little brother, if you do not trust me, do it to Mrs. Irmazewicz and make the right choice!

I believe this is indication we have a taker for at least one of our current crop. As was, it's not as if our midfield was entirely perfect.

Quality over quantity my friend, and more importantly suitability over quantity.
