Just from the few clips I've seen he looks a much better fit in Pochettinos system then Dembele, Paulinho and Sandro. Not saying they aren't good players but it was reported that Pochettinos major concern after taking over was how we moved the ball out of defence and into attack, hence the importance of Signing Morgan S. and how Capoue and Bentaleb seem to be first choice.

As great as they were as a partnership I would be very surprised if we see Sandro and Dembele line up together again.
What makes you think he is a better fit than Sandro?

IMO, Sandro has stopped improving as a player...This is even before his injury. Secondly, I don't think Poch is after out and out DMF. He seems to like Versatile CMs who can do everything.
Whether , Stambouli is that player, remains to be seen

Wiki already has him as a Tottenham player.

The Spurs fanbase are the kings of Wikipedia. Check that second paragraph. All that about how he turned down Arsenal to rage the pitch with our French fellas at the club he followed as a child, right after an entire paragraph detailing his deep family connections to Marseille.

I also learned Ben Davies was 9'1" this summer. Impressive.

What I don't understand about this buy is the consistent ITK that if it's not MS then we're not getting another CM.

Lyall Thomas @LyallThomas · 33m Spurs outgoing q's: Likely to be Holtby. Stambouli is deep-lying playmaker. Passing, vision superb, Potentially perfect partner for Capoue.

Lyall Thomas @LyallThomas · 46m

Response to all on Tottenham; Welbeck undecided so far. Hard to predict. With Stambouli coming in, fair to say Schneiderlin is unlikely.

Pretty straight-forward stuff, but just adding logs to the fire, re: holtby, MS, DW

I think this is a good buy for a few reasons.
1) despite what opinions we may have from the very little that most of have seen of him we have to assume he has been extensively scouted by somebody either at the club or on mopo's team and they rate his potential highly.
2) looks a good value bet at 4/5 million last year of contract so good investment.
3) better fitness record than Sandro
4) Sandro we could sell for more money than 4/5 million.

Have to say I have been impressed by the logic of all signings so far and am
Glad we are not allowing ourselves to be held to ransom over prices like our rivals. This project is about creating an ethos and style of play and creating a team with players that suit it. If we can do some good dealing and upgrading here and there then great.
I think they'll stash some cash for a lwf in January though rather than this window.
