Plan B---every fecking manager--plan B..
For me it's not Pochettino or his style that's the problem, it's that a good chunk of our squad are made up of players with a collective footballing IQ of about 5.
If we can get rid of the brain dead and get in players capable of an intense technical style then Pochettino might just succeed. (It's this bit I really worry about.)
Count the amount of black players on each team, and then you will get an idea on who is going to win. (The black players need to be exciting, though). (Like Balotelli, Sakho, Sturridge, Sterling. No exception here. I was hoping they would play Skrtel in defence instead of Sakho. When I saw the lineup, I kind of knew we would lose There are still randomness in the game, but in general, players like that will win a match. If you had one or two of them only on the pitch, we would have had a chance, though. This is all about having a sense for team building. Most managers don't have that. Rodgers usually use Skrtel in defence, but he wasn't even on the bench today. I guess he was injured, so he played Sakho instead. He was just lucky with that one. He wouldn't play him if Skrtel was available. Bad for us.
This is why I can't understand why so many of youngsters that did so well during preseason are no where to be seen.
I was really impressed with them, where are they, they filled me with hope.
Instead it went back to the same old players, doing the same old mistakes.
I will add Bentaleb is not ready yet I feel, cups and bench for now, consistently making big big mistakes almost every game.
I am suggesting it is MoPo's fault.I don't thing anyone is suggesting for one second that this is Poch's fault.
The fact of the matter is the vast majority of our squad are very very average and vastly overrated.
We have gone backwards. About 6 years.
This is what happens sadly when you don't keep moving forward. We sell our best players all the time. Whilst other clubs invest properly.
Nothing to do with the manager most of the time.
Apart from Mason who looked ok along side Capoue I can't think of any youngster that came away from pre-season have stamped a claim on a first team place or even a place in the first team squad.
Because poch isn't as familiar with our deficiencies as much as we are and has to see it for himself, that's just part of the process. Next summer is the key window, we'll be a powerhouse after that - solid throughout. This is why I can't understand why so many of youngsters that did so well during preseason are no where to be seen.

The problem is, far to many of our senior players consistently fail to make the same claim...
I really don't see what we have to lose by playing players like Ceballos, Falque (I think he left)... At least they showed they had a footballing brain and linked up well with the likes of Soldado, Lamela and co.
I agree, but this way he's given levy's recent buys a chance and our regulars a chance to earn a place. After that no one can say shit to him. That's the way I'm reading it.The problem is, far to many of our senior players consistently fail to make the same claim...

Gone for £4m.
Shame
I don't disagree that playing younger players that do have a football brain might help but the minute they make a mistake the knuckle dragging section of our fan base that boo at the drop of a hat will be all over them killing whatever confidence they might have had.

I dont about on here, for me Henderson has been awesome for a season and I feel sorry for him how Gerrard gets all the praise when he has been shite at timesIt certainly would have been a different game if Chadli had taken his chance. It would have been interesting to see how we would react. I know Henderson gets a lot a flak from opposition fans but you need a player like him.
If Balotelli had taken one or two of his chances then we would have been looking at the scoreline like last year. I imagine this was at the back of your players minds as you say. It looked like they were either nervous or just didnt know what to do.
Indeed I was ashamed of our support today and with contrast before kick off, liverpool fans made their players feel like a million dollars after a loss at the etihadGone for £4m.

I am simply just telling the truth. For some that might sound harsh, but it is the reality. No more talking between the lines. I say it straight as it is.You are just pure fucking gold SK. Lmfao
I bloody hope so.I agree, but this way he's given levy's recent buys a chance and our regulars a chance to earn a place. After that no one can say shit to him. That's the way I'm reading it.
