So? It's not like you actually know what that means or the ins and outs of our finances but you still use terms like net spend and think you're the cats meow.

Oh and that's an estimated number because 99% of our transfers are undisclosed
I have not bothered to look, but I think the annual reports show money spent and money earned - in aggregate on player contracts.

Again, no idea what the numbers show, but I think they are available for someone to track down - just not on specific deals.

FFS wish people would stop moaning about our spending. If Levy can keep us at 6th for the next 3 years and have delivered a 55,000 seater stadium in that time he will have done a fantastic job. Some of you are deluded.

Keep trimming our squad just to balance cost of stadium and he'll be lucky to keep us out of bottom 6!

The longer it drags, the cheaper they become. Their contracts running down and a refusal to sell means that the passage of time works in our favour. Pretty simple.

Schneiderlin has a contract until 2017. They aren't going to sell him mid-season for anything less than what they want now. They'll also want big money for Rodriguez, as they went through a lot of trouble helping him recover from his injury. Southampton aren't desperate for money, and what we'd likely offer wouldn't be worth what they'd lose in their squad for the remainder of the season.

I see many look at Liverpools success and point at them having the same manager for years and getting a well drilled team that way, but they also pay top dollar for the players Rodgers need to make it happen.

Even if we stick to Poch for the next few years it will be hard to get similar results when always making a profit every summer and opting for the cheap "players that can do a job" instead of the ones our manager feel are essential.

One thing is for sure, we missed a trick by not signing Able Hernandez. He is going to be snapped up next summer after having a great season for Hull.

Don't know much about him but looked at his record and its about 90 goals in 110 appearances. Can't knock that so at 9.5 mill he could be a top signing. Whereas Soldado.......

I am not one to usually moan too much (check my posts), but if we look at the sales:

Sigurdsson £10m
Sandro £10m reported
Falque £4m
Dawson £4m
Fryers £3m
Livermore £8m
Total £39m

vs. Ins:

Dier £4m
Davies £10m
Vorm £3m
Fazio £8m
Stambouli £4.7m
Yedlin £2.5m
Total £32.2m

So probably a profit of circa £7m when you throw into the mixer the small fee's for the likes of Obika!

It's kind of unacceptable considering the net profit last year also, increased TV money etc. when we have a glaring need to add creativity and goal scoring prowess and now Welbeck is off to Arsenal!

The squad at spurs is impressive, but we will finish no better than 6th/7th with this level of investment, and should not expect more.

Here's hoping we are surprised with MS before 11.00 :)

I think people keep forgetting that for the next two seasons, we will be playing at an even smaller stadium than WHL - if ever there was a time to over-spend a little it was this summer, because revenues are going to be even tighter in the next two summer transfer windows...
