Why don't a few of you support QPR? They've done good business from their point of view and are essentially a mini Spurs in the making.

Regardless of your feelings towards our business this window and whether or not you think we should have sold him, having the Sandro leaving news as our last big announcement of the day is not great PR. He was a fans favourite and what with many already upset about our apparent lack of activity I'm not surprised so many are grabbing pitchforks and axes. I really wouldn't be surprised if the next announcement from the club is about a new contract for Jan, I just hope it doesn't backfire.

Poch was the biggest signing of our summer. After AVB and Sherwood he was much needed.

Squad is decent enough. They just need to work fucking hard from now.

Yep. They better had. Otherwise Poch will be getting sacked if they finish 7th.

How you guys forget last summer and that amazing window is beyond me.

We lost Bale, so we spent that money. You honestly think we would have spent that without the sale of Bale? I want us to go for it where we are not breaking even and buying players where we hope to make a profit.

Also to add , buying players that we need not because they are bargains. How many years has our squad been unbalanced?

Either way, when the stadium is built i would hope we are competing.

We had/have many players who have under performed over the last season. Getting those players performing will be an improvment.

If thats it for this Window then now its up to our Coach to get us playing as a team.
Agree that wasprobably why Poch was brought in,and I think the player from last season will improve. My concern remains that,if we are to believe ITKers like JJ,then he was not happy with the squad and wanted upgrades which he has not got. Apologies for the shite text - decrepit keyboard. I support Levy on the whole and his advancement towards building our new stadium.I just don't want to find us fighting clubs for 7/6/5place.

I'm confused as to where we're going as a club.

In the past we were at least chasing world famous talents and pipe dreams.

Now we can't even seem to snap up the Remy's, Welbeck's and Jay Rodriguez's of this world.

We need to seriously up our game both on and off the football field.

Wonder if there will be late deals for BAE and Khumalo?

We're still 2 overseas players over, so neither will make the squad.

Both in last year of contract too.

I understand the rationale behind are relative lack of business this window but it hurts seeing so many of our rivals strengthen with top quality players. I fear we're getting left behind tbh.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Ghey.

If Sig and Holtby were the answer fuck knows what the question was. Holtby willing but lacking real quality on the ball. Siggy was always lightweight and down the pecking order. NEITHER were good enough ultimately.

I'm not a huge fan of either Lennon or Townsend but they offer something different which is pace and directness and at times we'll need both.

Time for you to back the manager Pinky - I doubt he's as upset as you are if JJ tells it right about the smaller squad. And no one has left who he didn't want to leave, of that I'm sure...

Yep, I'm right behind him regardless. I was desperate for us to appoint him and I hope he gets as much time as possible to impart his ideas/methods.

I agree regarding Sig and Holtby...just a bit perplexed why we didn't look to move Townsend on. Lennon I wanted to keep and glad we have. He showed in pre season that he can link up and offers that acceleration that can stretch opponents.

I just fail to see what Townsend offers although I like him as a guy, comes across very well.

Regarding the smaller squad though, bit concerned if we're taking the Europa League as seriously as the League.

Not upset Steve, just very surprised.

I am disappointed we didn't get Schneiderlin this window but I don't think the deal is dead just delayed but other than that I'm not disappointed with the window.
As for Welbeck, I'm not really bothered, we all knew him but how many of us were crying out for him at the start of the window?
Sure it would have been nice to get in a superstar but in all honesty how likely was that? This window is the start not the finish, Pochotinno has identified those he doesn't want which must mean he knows the ones he does want and now he will develop that squad and build on it as we go.
Also, I can't help thinking that Eric Lamela is like a new signing, we certainly didn't have him available last season anyway and we've lost no crucial players against our wishes and I wasn't confident of that back on the first of June.

Vorm, Davies, Dier, Fazio and Stambouli.

I just wish we weren't so haphazard in our purchases. Like not concentrating on one specific area where an identified weakness was ...
