So Cain Hoy are into real estate, hmmm, we've bought a shit load of land ready for development(well, almost), allegedly for the new stadium! It's in London, in an area earmarked for and desperately in need of regeneration! So, any guesses as to why Cain Hoy would like to buy out ENIC?!!! :cautious:

Better the devil you know in this case, if you ask me!!!!

Any more info on the Israeli's that the Evening Standard mentioned? Not sure how that would go down with sponsors (we've seen on this site how volatile discussing Israel is).

Right @Lilbaz and @THFCSPURS19, I will no longer talk about Levy in this thread but I expect you to be the same to anyone talking about Levy.

We all know your views Mullers and I truly believe most respect them, even if they dont agree. Just maybe repeating the same things every time is counter productive?

Fair enough. Although if things develop and more info comes out about Levy's position at the club, then I think it's fine to talk about it. Until then, let's continue salivating over this potential takeover.
Sorry, just to be clear, are you saying that if his position in the club changes, you don't mind me talking about Levy?

Think he's saying if they do make a bid and want to keep Levy or get rid. Then discuss the pro's and cons. Otherwise there is 90 pages of discussion in the Is Levy Holding Us Back thread (that you started?).

That caught my eye - which annoyed me, as to quite why it should matter and catch my eye. But sadly there lies the problem.

Nope I didn't start it, I haven't started one topic about Levy.

Thats because we weren't good enough, it doesn't mean that the aspiration or mentality wasn't there. It was there even from Sugars day.[/quote
"Merely" no but embellished to the enth degree by the media, yes. Then the Levy naysayers lap it like its gospel.

Name a better chairman to replace Levy if this takeover comes off AND they want him to go?
You know we can`t "name" potential chairman. Its not like choosing a new coach or manager based on previous performance. In my opinion, theres a 90% a new chairman would perform better than Levy, and a 10% chance he`d be worse. For me, thats a chance worth taking. And by "better", I mean delivering success and trophies on the pitch. Which is surely, as football fans, the benchmark we should be using. Not the fact he`s able to get 83million off Real Madrid or has a reputation for not backing, then sacking, every manager he appoints.

Thanks for that, Knob! Duly noted!

Possibly. If Cain Hoy/Guggenheim are serious about expanding their investment in sport they might try and buy an NFL franchise in London. That's partly why I think if they do come in they might redesign the stadium.

Nope. I think they would've had to do what Cain Hoy did if they were interested.

Nothing in it, methinks.

How on earth is it possible to come to that conclusion? What you're saying is that 90% of the football club chairmen in the world are doing a better job than Levy. And that's just simply not true.

WTF?? Mind blown.

90%? based on what evidence?

What chairman in the premiership has currently performed better than Levy on similar resources?

I was actually doing some blue sky thinking and wondered what players I would bring in with all this money!

DO NOT list your player choices here - its not the place.

It was more, what would this new money give us with FFP now on the scene, other than the much needed stadium?

So, you agree with me do you. i.e, suggesting we as fans can name our choice of chairman is silly, and the benchmark of success should be success on the pitch and trophies won. If you dont agree, then instead of childish sarcasm why not detail your argument against my points.
