This has a draw all over it in my view. Southampton are playing well as their new players have seemingly clicked. Morgan has to be nullified in the middle of the pitch as he has cropped up with a few goals this season.
The most interesting choices for me will be whether Adebayor and Dembele start. I don't think Poch would've had them sit on the bench midweek if he didn't intend on them starting this weekend, so I'm expecting a line-up like we saw against Sunderland, with the exception of Vertonghen starting.
I would expect to see Lloris; Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose; Mason, Capoue; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Adebayor based on the team put out on Thursday. But Fazio and Kane had good games, and Dembele was impressive off the bench. Kaboul earned to keep his place in the PL team in the Arsenal game, but Adebayor has done nothing to warrant even a place on the bench lately and if Pochettino was being truthful when he said names mean nothing to him and that he'll pick players who deserve to play then Kane should start over Adebayor tomorrow.
Well I wouldn't use those exact words but....Dembele did what he always does and look world class until he sees the opposition area and then he turns into a spaz.
Why does everyone want 442 I really don't understand why? Can someone tell me why?
None of our strikers have shown themselves capable of playing up top on their own?
Ultimately the right tactics are those that best suit the players you have.
