I hate being negative about the team since this is my fun, but we're just not very good. I keep telling myself we are good and we're just about to put it together, but I can't do it anymore. I couldn't even say what's wrong specifically. I do believe we need to be patient but at this moment in time, we're not a good team.

We are definitely going to have to start asking questions soon.

I'm not seeing any plan at the moment, and certainly not seeing any improvement....and it's not unfair to expect that at this stage.

I'm a little concerned that there isn;t much flexibility when it comes to this 'system'. My way or the highway isn;t really utilising the best resources you have in the most effective manner. Which is what I am seeing at the moment. I know it is early days, but as you say, it isn;t unfair to expect some signs of it starting to click. Some glimpses vs City I suppose, but not convincing.

If I were Poch, i'd be worried about the general lack of pace in the defence and in attack. Which I think causes a lot of the defensive issues in this system. Still, a result is a result, but one can only grind them out for so long.

As Kendall mentioned above, the defensive players at our disposal cannot all be as poor as our performances are making out. Surely it must be a tactical issue?

The lack of movement and urgency in our build-up play is very worrying. Hopefully Pochettino can turn this around sooner rather than later.

Not an easy game as they have never lost a European game at home and we have never won in Greece..... however at nearly evens I had 30 quid on us and it was never in doubt.

The fact that we were hiding near the corner flag at the final whistle is pretty worrying. I understand these games are not motivating to the players but seriously.

we did just win?
Yes, funnily enough we did. I found the second half very frustrating. We have a tendency to play as individuals, but we were very poor at the back and I think that was a lot to do with Dier getting increasingly jittery at RB. Maybe the second half performance was partly due to people not wanting to get injured on that pitch. I must say that Dembélé is annoying with his phobia of hitting the effing thing towards goal.

Bland, bland, bland.
Get them Paddies over here pronto!

I guess. For me, when the standard of pundits is so bad and the bar is set so low, someone who actually seems to have a vocabulary stands out.

Personally, I really wish we could see the brutal honesty of Roy Keane. Every game. That was refreshing.

Also worth mentioning that if we didn't concede the faziontastic goal we would've topped the group.

The problem is that successive teams, under successive managers, don't seem to grasp the importance of movement and hard work both with and without the ball. With it we often see, static players not offering an option for the man on the ball, players bunched together, no width, and fullbacks not recognising when they need to get forward. Without it we are so open and easy to play through, players are reactive and so have to chase the ball rather than proactive in putting in the hard yards and getting back in to some sort of defensive structure. Players need to show a lot more but it's crying out for some direction from the Manager, about how and what runs he wants each individual to make and how this compliments the rest of the team. Hard work and constantly moving around with purpose needs to be drilled into them.

Heard the saying you should get 3 transfer windows to prove your managerial credentials. I think poch needs to get his players in asap

My heart is aching. I Can't come to terms with the number of below average players we have, wearing the famous lilywhite shirt at the moment. Unless we sort ourselves out, we are in for a long period of mediocrity. So many players out there today, who barley broke any sweat. I will not name players, too many of them, so I won't bother.
I am now completely convinced that the Europa League is useless and a waste of time and energy.

Then you have Vertonghen, ex captain of Ajax.

I refuse to believe all of these defenders are shit. The system, the work, it's not being sorted on the training ground.

Poch, earn your money, mate.

Things are actually worse than they were under Sherwood.
