i read on another forum, that the going rate for that bit of land is around £1.8m....and that they were after circa £20m...if those numbers are even remotely close then i think you've hit the nail on the head.One word springs to mind here

Ive got to be honest, I respect that the Josifs have a business to run and protect but to take this as far as they have, holding up the regeneration of an area they know is in desperate need of a cash injections is purely selfish.
Spurs and Haringey Council must have put packages together way above and beyond the acceptable, or else we would be fighting CPO's with all the other previous land owners.
Greed has bred a monster, and in this instance, Its the little guy, not the big corporate machine!
