I think we should build the team around him. But MoPo keeps subbing him, putting Lamela on the left to tread on his toes and then v CP he was shunted to the right 2nd half.

No quotes and the so-called quotes from Blanc were denied by Blanc himself...= Eriksen want to leave Spurs and what not...

He is on hardly anything and deserves more a week when you consider his ability and effort in comparison to "£200k+ Adebayor". Pretty fucking bullshit in fairness to Eriksen.

Why is it bullshit? If the article is to be believed then we've offered to almost double his wages and he's chosen not to accept.

To be fair to him why would a top player want to be at Spurs at the moment? I don't see that there's any draw to the club whatsoever these days, certainly in comparison with many others.

He got subbed earlier in the season because he wasn't producing simple as.
Now he's found some form he isn't being subbed.
Lamela got subbed because he was having a bad game.
It's not that difficult to understand.

Ditch the patronising attitude, please.
I have been happy with Eriksen's improved play this season and I was as surprised as he was when he got subbed for Lamela.

I think he's saying that Eriksen started the season by being subbed and is now being started out of position then pushed even farther out of position just to accommodate lamela, who has done little to deserve it.

I thought lamela started on the right?
Are you saying Eriksen to play right?

This post has highlighted the confusion as to who plays where, it has now increased my confusion, What with 'inverted' wingers everybody playing down the middle and nobody playing wide. There are occasions when Chadli and Lennon are playing that we get the width. But imho I think Eriksen should play in the middle No 10.

I actually think he looks better deeper, as a DLP like where Fabregas plays.

You're right, but in the second half, Eriksen, who started on the left was then moved over to the right.

Spot on. Our formation is confusing for a number of reasons but primarily because:

It doesn't work
The players are out of position
The players we have that are accustomed to the formation are shit.

Wouldn't be gutted to see him go.

Obviously talented but doesn't deliver regularly enough to make him indispensible, and when he has an off day he's an absolute liability.

I keep hoping that we'll find the right place to play him and it will suddenly click consistently, but to be honest whilst he's been considerably better than Lamela and Soldado, I wouldn't be overly concerned if he went out with those two.

Potentially a good player but as things stand another one that wouldnt break my heart if he went.

Agreed. Lots of flair but very flaky to.

If we see more of what we saw against Everton I'd be delighted if he was here long term. If that's a one off, I wouldn't lose a winks sleep over it.

I want players here who completely buy into what we're doing and really put in the effort for the cause.

In fact its potentially a sale I think we could get well over paid on - with someone like PSG.

But I guess we'll see what happens over the rest of the season, more of an idea then.

Personally I would like him to stay.
Still young and will get better.
