Di Maria set for Man Utd STAY as Eriksen wants PSG move
TOTTENHAM playmaker Christian Eriksen has set his sights on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, leaving Angel Di Maria free to stay at Manchester United.

Di Maria only joined the Old Trafford club in the summer, but the £59.7m winger has already been linked with a move away at end of the season.

PSG were set to renew their interest in the Argentina international - having failed to land him before his move to United due to Financial Fair Play regulations - but are now keen on Tottenham's Eriksen.

The Dane is seen as a cheaper alternative to Di Maria, and today's reports in France claim Eriksen would be open to a move to the Ligue 1 giants.

The 22-year-old is reportedly frustrated at Tottenham's struggle to break into the top-four of the Premier League, while PSG consistently make the Champions League.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc said on the interest last week: "I see a great player in Eriksen.

"He was already strong at Ajax and has become even better in England. It would be nice if we could have him with us."

Star player being linked to a billionaire owned club, can't imagine the state of Levys bathroom right now!

I thought these quotes had been dismissed as bollocks?

With his performances in recent weeks earning plaudits, Blanc admitted to being a long-time fan of the 49-times capped international’s last week, telling the Evening Standard: “Ajax have always had players I’ve liked enormously, some of whom have left.

"One of those is Eriksen, who now plays for Tottenham.”

Now the Frenchman has fuelled further speculation of a potential bid, however, declaring his desire to see the Spurs ace don a PSG shirt in the future.

"I can tell you that we have seen him a lot lately by sitting in the stands," he told L'Équipe.

"At Ajax, Eriksen was already good. In England he only got better. Everyone can see he understands his profession well.

"He always sees the solution and can create at any time in the game something. It would be nice if he would soon play with us."

I like Eriksen a lot and i think he has a hell of a lot of potential but he would not get near their first team at the moment.

Eriksen hasn't done that badly that he'd drop back down to a second tier league again I don't think.

He's also too young to go for a retirement cheque.

He is on hardly anything and deserves more a week when you consider his ability and effort in comparison to "£200k+ Adebayor". Pretty fucking bullshit in fairness to Eriksen.

If that's true he clearly doesn't want to tie himself down just yet before assessing options. I mean this is eriksen and his infamous 'plan' right.

Seems to have coincided with Laurent Blanc's comments in the press. If PSG offer something stupid I say we sell and buy someone with balls instead!

Don't want any player here that doesn't want to be here, whoever they are.

If he stays he stays, if he goes he goes.

I can't blame him at all. Way to early to tell if this new management will turn things around long term at the club or not. At least he is not doing a Saurez and signing a new juicy contract right before jumping ship. I think most players see Spurs as a stepping stone club to the European elite anyway, which sucks but is the unfortunate truth. It sounds like spurs isn't the happiest place to be right now ether so I'm sure that's going to factor into all contract negotiations.

Wait is this based on the quotes from the PSG manager which turned out to be completely fabricated? All that's happened is that Eriksen's agent has apparently said he'll wait untill the summer to deal with contract talks but they don't have any quotes for him.

Makes sense to me. His stock is still rising - why make a decision now when he could demand more in a few months?
