we aren't going to buy anyone now he just beat the best team. Levy will to till Poch that he has the best team in the League now. No need to bring anyone else in

Unfortunately this is probably correct! I'm hoping he sees how we just need to strengthen in a few key places to see us through. Hopefully if we can get rid of a few players (Ade, Chiriches, Paulinho, Capoue, BAE) IT should free up some funds nicely.

Only Amazon UK though. Doesnt work here in the states.
That's true. SC would need to set up an Amazon.com affiliate account to do that. There's plenty of ways to target ads to visitors locations so SC owners could do it.

Although I'd love it if we got Cabaye, Schneiderlin has become an extremely important player this window because of how well Southampton are playing. We could handicap one of our competitors for European football next year by buying him, and protect ourselves from Arsenal at the same time (if they are the alternative destination).

Not only would Schneiderlin improve our team, it's also a business decision, slightly scuing the amount we 'can' pay for him.

We need players like him to make those runs from deep, which we don't currently have an alternative to Mason for. Even Mason is still learning how and when to do it, and someone vastly more experienced would dramatically improve our play and ability to score goals. This is the one area where Cabaye has a question mark for me.

Personally I still think we need to also improve on Townsend and Lennon, and I'd sell them both to fund Lacazette or Depay if we can.

This is probably spam, but you are suggesting that all our buying and selling will be based upon a game that actually took place on just about the first day of the new window? No planning, no discussing needs with the manager and no pre window chats with players, agents or clubs to sound them out?

Despite what people think actually happens, this would be no way to run a business.

[Edit] - or were you being ironic?

I wouldn't use the same terminology, but wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility that winning big against Chelscum will be used as an excuse to bring back Adebayor and Kaboul as depth.

We had ITK a while back stating that we would seek to strengthen if we still were in all competitions come January.
Status 2nd. of Jan is: we are in the 4th/5th-race, we are in the FA cup, semi finalists in league cup, facing Fiorentina in EL. I expect outgoings/incoming to be more in focus than ever.

Happy New year gift.

My girlfriend's brother went to the same school (Chingford foundation) and was in the same year as Harry Kane; so now he is the talk of the town it's only fair I asked my future brother-in-law stuff about Harry so I can be popular with the cool kids on SpursCommunity.

Me:

Alright ***** how are you mate? What do you remember about Harry Kane when at school with him and what was the name of the school? What was he like personality wise and do you remember any stories (football or other stuff) or maybe how he was at football? Did he get bullied or anything?

*****:

Yeah good mate , well have to say when we all use to be at the park getting drunk (200 strong) this guy no lie was there doing kick ups. he use to go in goal in a game at lunch with 100 people playing and would run it out take it passed everyone and score. he was alright guy he called me big head and I said his face looked like it was upside down, he was quiet ish but had bants was a nice guy don't think he was bullied at all just loved football was in my business and maths class so quite a smart guy

Is this ITK?

Following on from KaboulsForehead above, I have something a little similar or more current....

According to a friend of a friend in Golders Green (in a certain Pizza establishment), "Lamela still does not consider he's getting enough first team football and now wants out". I understand he's injured at the mo, but we'll see. Not for any RO as I'm unable to verify - so large pinch of salt and all that.

Erm... "He is thought to earn around £80,000 at white hart lane, a sum which is unaffordable to Torino".

...lemme guess how this one will turn out:D

Also, I think you need to put this link in the Ade thread @Yid-ol or you're gonna get cock-slapped in the face by a bone hard Archie.

Ahh....the new tradition....Ade being sold somewhere overseas breaking down because of wages just like Monaco and that team in Turkey....starting to feel like a transfer window now.....

Um....Lamela has the 3rd most appearances and minutes in the PL on the squad (behind Hugo and Eriksen)....not sure what he would want Poch to do to get him more time.....

I can't believe that because he's started almost every game when fit

Nah. Can't see it. He knows what the deal is here and how difficult things have been introducing the new system with poch having to work out who can hack it etc.

He's broken into the frame for Argentina and is steadily building his profile in our the team.

I can't see him suddenly getting anxious about playing time after having been so hot and cold up until recently.

He's just finding some consistency and I would imagine he's a happy camper, looking forward to fighting his way into many more starts.

All the players know how poch works now, so they know they have to prove they deserve a starting place for every single game.

Lamela is not first choice and I don't believe he ever will be. I think MoPo did not even want him on the bench yesterday and there was a very interesting post in his thread from someone who "takes a very keen interest in his career" who says Bambi is more suited to Spain or Italy.

So you think he and the Club are lying about an injury?

And you have written him off completely in terms of producing for Spurs?

We know you love Townsend, but it doesn't mean you have to knock his competition for a place at every opportunity especially on an unfounded basis.

Well Townsend I guess, but can see why he was chosen against Utd. Despite being underwhelming again.

He was injured against Chelsea, so I just don't see where these claims of not enough playing time would come from...I get the impression he's pretty happy, if not just a bit frustrated that its taking him a while to show his full potential.
