Ahh thanks. I initially assumed chat about him was put in reserve whilst some other poxy fuck-all to do with this thread subject was being discussed and only brought out now due to intense boredom. I can't imagine why i'd think that :D

But rest easy, my confusion has been straightened out now.

FWIW I have no idea why certain players are being targeted, but its all about ticking as many boxes as possible. For instance why did OWF buy Carrick to replace Roy Keane? They couldn't have been different CM's but it still worked because he did enough of the right things even if they were different right things(if that makes sense).

As for names I am not willing to put any more out there, firstly because I let it slip a bit early regarding our interest in Kramer, and secondly because I'm taking all the boys out on the boat on Friday, so best not to say anything that will make waves(pun) four days before being stuck out on the beautiful briny with the guys that are passing me the info.

So Super ITK Saturday in here then! :woot:;)

Perhaps the Imbula interest is meant to divert interest from our other options (given that the deal for Schneiderlin proves to be too complicated). I hope so because he doesn't strike me as being the answer to our problems. Remember what happened with Willian. I don't think it's out of the question that it could happen again.

I hope that is the case but that's quite a stretch. You watch us end up with the guy. I'd loved to be proved wrong but I can see it being a bad move.

Would love to know what the 'plenty of complications' are with regards to Schneiderlin. From what we've heard, he wants to move to us, & MP sees him as essential to his plans as he is still our 'top target'.

Anyone fancy setting up one of those online petitions? Not sure if any one has ever done that before for a football transfer. I think we could find a few willing people on here to sign it!!!

Please get this done Daniel!

Let's get Kramer if MS deal is difficult.... I won't lose sleep over it. Pls get a speedy left wing and forward as well.

Sell the rest and keep the squad smaller will make us competitive.
Fat chance. MS is a smokescreen for a lack of real intention to splash the cash. We won't make any significant purchases. First game of the season will see mason and bentaleb in CM. Only big movement will be lloris out, late in window. You all know I'm right.

You're probably right but is it really such a "stretch" to think that way? I'm not so sure. Our interest in Schneiderlin is so "obvious" that there's no point in trying to hide it. However, I'm of the opinion, especially how vocal he's been about his desire for a CL club of late and all the other "complications", that he's never really been very "doable" anyway.

Unlike a lot of people, I don't actually think the difference between us and the top four is that great. If we sort out our defence and the DM problem we could be quite the threat, hence keeping our cards close to our chest about what we're really up to.

Lighten up mate, it's only June. The window isn't even officially open yet

I hope we're just quietly working away on Kramer. Imbula really is mediocre

He's really not - how much of him have you watched?

Also, today seems to have been a manic, scream and weep blood day in here - is MS off again then?

I just had a big movement, funnily enough it was as I was reading your post.
