It's definitely promising but I'm a little concerned that it's the 'best' four out so far - the most capable and obvious targets for another team.

I think the other four are going to be much harder to shift, owing to a combination of age, ability, wages etc.

Really, who would want any of the second group in their team? Perhaps Soldado back to Spain where it's proven he's a goalscorer but the others? I think we'll struggle to be rid of them, particularly Ade and Kaboul (who has one more year, is that right?).

Yep the others will be tricky to shift. I suppose Chiriches and Soldado are the important ones as we actually need to replace them. Kaboul and Adebayor played no part at all in 2015 so whilst it would be a ball ache to keep them on financially, if we have to let them rot we can do so without needing to replace them.

The most important thing is that Levy is seemingly accepting reasonable fees so hopefully that will continue.

Four more out and at least three in is a lot to ask for but I reckon it can be done.

kaboul will certainly have a taker if the fee is nominal. Vlad should find a landing in Italy or perhaps Swizz/ French league if priced around 5.5 million or so. Soldier will get a taker in Spain at the 10 mill mark. Ade if he gets a free may still end up staying at the lane next season

I think its achievable because Levy is prepared to be more reasonable in terms of player valuation. Feels like he's seeing the big picture for this window.

Capoue went for 6,8 million I think. Ordinarily Levy would be holding out for 8, for example, and would be waiting until the deadline without knowing the sale would be completed in the end. But the knock on affect, that stance has, is pretty significant for our incoming business.

Its been really encouraging to see him move more swiftly, and at the start of the window, for a change.

partly because he is turning profits on players like Holtby, Naughton (and likely lennon and carroll to come)

Guarantee each player sold has a sell on clause. If Catpoo does well then Watford can make some money on him and then hopefully so will we.

and partly because we've now got 5 players in the first team from the youth system whose cost to 'produce' have been low, so we've saved a lot on transfer fees in the last year or two

I think Vlad will be really good in Italy, he has talent. He also has a case of the clusterfucks. I just don't want to see him in Lilywhite ever again.

Really good in Italy? the country that actually takes pride in its defending? Vlad Chiriches would be good in Italy? are you sure?

Why can't we just use the fee we receive for him and put that towards making up the shortfall in wages he'll be getting elsewhere.
Or just cancel the contract. Surely we can use some of the 60m profit we made in 13/14 plus the ~£90m tv money last season to pay him off!
