Or just cancel the contract. Surely we can use some of the 60m profit we made in 13/14 plus the ~£90m tv money last season to pay him off!
We could, but it would be daft to do it now when the window has only just opened.

Democracies require intelligent and invested constituents, who will see the greater good's fortunes as equal to those of their own. Does that describe the members here? No. If you tried to answer the question, you proved my point as it was rhetorical.

Who does describe.......the moderators. So SC is a democracy.

Please learn the difference between democracy and Britain's Got Talent

SC is most certainly not a democracy. Is it a benign dictatorship? I do not know. Is @A&C benign?
Britain's got talent. What is it?
The Greeks understand democracy ( as they should).

With Everton signing Delafeou unfortunately I cant see them splashing the required cash to take Azza from us unless they are looking to relieve themselves of a certain Belgian at the same time? I suppose one more wouldn't hurt?

Interesting to see Ali Z before commenting on a post of a twitter photo regarding guesses at outgoing/available player's wages - "some of those are wrong on the low side, we pay them more". We could be looking at well over £300k a week saved by the time we clear the decks.

I think that we'd do well do cleanse the squad of high paid peripheral players, as they're clearly going to cost us more money in the long run when our younger 1st team players expect parity.

I wouldn't want Mirallas as part of the deal personally.

Mate I don't think Lukaku is coming to be Harry Kane's water boy

If you think of Adebayor earning £110k pw, Holtby £75k and Paulhino £60k ish, etc think its £500k + per week saving for say 9 leaving.

I've heard that McGeady might be leaving. Some some reports that Sunderland might be interested? If so that frees up another space and the number 7 shirt...

You'd have to be quite the optimist to see Ade going though. The figures had Lennon on £40k and Pauli on £50k, and Ali Z eluded to them both being on 'much more', so there's easily going to be £100k a week for those two alone.

Question will be whether or not that is going to influence who we sign/keep, or how quickly we pay off the stadium

IMO we will try to move Adebayor on this TW, but his wages make him difficult (let alone anything else), cannot see anyone wanting to pay £110k pw so we may need to pay some part of that for a year, the carrot for Adebayor being that another year of not playing could spell the end of him getting a decent contract in a year's time. But otherwise if we have to pay him off its £5m+ which I doubt DL is very keen on.

Don't want to irritate A & C with a general discussion of wages in the ITK thread, but I made my own estimates of wages in 3rd post in this thread, based upon titbits I've picked up. Not saying its accurate, but think its better than the figures you wre picking up

We've been trying to fuck him off for how many windows now? 3? 4? And only 1 bite(where we would have had to pay half his wages for a 6 month loan to the spammers).

For anyone who suggested over the weekend one of the cryptic cabbages may have been Arda Turan...that boat has sailed gone to Barca
