Aside from the injury it would make sense. We need a quick, versatile winger/forward and Poch likes pacey left sided players who can come inside and score. Rodriguez scored 15 goals from the left for So'ton under his tenure and Chadli, while not as quick, came inside a lot more under Poch and scored plenty.

Could it be that Ntep is "injured" in much the same way that Bale was prior to his move to Real? If we are in advanced discussions I can see his club holding him out of pre-season so as not to interfere with the deal and using the injury announcement to deflect attention from his absence. Or it could just be typical Spursyness.

Hope that doesn't count for Hugo too!

It almost is guaranteed to be pure "Spursy" timing

"Already suspended for the Aug. 8 season opener against Bastia, Ntep has now suffered a combination of injuries to both legs."

So does that mean we're in the market for a wheelchair as well?

Bit quiet around ITK these days, but thought I'd drop in this from Trix on COYS:

Just been told by an agent for one of ours, that Alli has been sensational so far in training. The senior players all knew he was a talented young player, but none of them expected him to be as good as he is..

(y)

Might cause a rethink on our CM transfer priorities?

Oh HELL yes.

Really really like the look of this kid ever since we were linked last window. For me he is this window's Memphis Depay in that if we have a shot we had best take it because we won't in six months time. Already seen him linked to Bayern, PSG although I don't think they are ready to make their move - yet. Only downside is he does seem to be legitimately injured at the moment, but perhaps that's what has chased enough of the big fish out of the pond for us to get a chance.

Bentaleb, Alli, Mason, ?????

Still need one more guy who is ready to contribute at senior-team level. I don't think Carroll or Dembele fit the mold for the CM2 position.

There was me thinking I'd nailed it with Jean-Paul Boëtius... (n)

Hmm, these goat bleats are not filling me with confidence.
Njie - Lyon insist not for sale
Ntep - crocked

Next... :sneaky:

I like the style of both, although they both look like LWF who could cover CF at a push, still hopeful on an out and out CF and CM some time soon.
Other than that, been a good window so far.

Not sure if we'll see Jan/Toby feature ahead of the defence. Wouldn't mind it, personally.
