if we can get ade and chiriches to leave, all we're left with is lennon/townsend and dembele. the clear out is seriously more exciting than the incomings

Ha! This was me tweeting.

It seems to me by all accounts still haven't put in a bid for McCarthy. All I can think is maybe we still think there might be life in the Rabiot deal...

[cough] and Soldado, provided we can get in one or more goal scoring strikers

Lamela was involved in the Copa America so will still be on leave.

Thanks....

Btw, last count we have 27 in the first team incl Ade, Chriches, Lennon, Caroll. Assuming they go, we get 2 more then it's going to be 25 man squad. Compact one which is mostly positive. Still feel a fair bit underwhelm with some of those linked but a quality LW is most important and follow by a target man or a CM with longer range passing to vary our play.

Let's see how Poch plays this out.

Isn't it revealing that the only person to have voted SPAM for the above fetish related post was a character named 'EVERLASTING SECONDS' (delayed gratification ? ). I find it amusing and wholly ironic - too much so to resist pointing it out. It is as if this person is indeed also a 'Levyite', in as much as you like to delay gratification for as long as possible, perhaps never attaining - allowing it to propose itself just around the corner, tantalisingly out of reach - which ironically gives you everlasting indulgence - in a zen like mode of being.

Maybe there is a scientific link between this type of pleasure seeker and being a Spurs supporter / follower / chairman.

Do you and Levy share recent common ancestry?

It would be great if we had yes, but we've had ITK plenty of times about bigger fish circling some of our targets, the reality is we need to wait until the CL clubs have lost interest and moved onto another player, I would rather wait and fill these last 2/3 positions with better quality.
This is true but our need for a back up striker, is unfortunately, extremely urgent. All it takes is Harry kane to do his achilles, and our season is effectively over. I'll be very disappointed if we don't bring in someone for this position, but I'm assuming we will- we have to, really. If we're holding back because of our 'one out before one in' policy, that is simply barmy.

Even if we sign N'Jie and/or Werner, to me both of them are long term signings and shouldn't be guaranteed to improve the 1st team straight away.

That leaves only McCarthy, Rabiot and Berahino who seem to be the rest of our targets who could come in and make an immediate impact. I think any of three would strengthen the 1st team from the off.

Let's hope there are some left, amazing how Liverpool are able to identify targets and seemingly get them, they have bought well I think. Let's hope Kane can replicate last year and our new look defence shores us up at the back. If Kane gets injured Chadli up front it is then :)

We bid for Ings so we will get a striker, all ITK points to us signing the right players, not just making up the numbers, i can't see we're operating a one in one out policy either.

We used that money to get toby though. If correct that brook house money has gone in the kitty then we should see some movement soon. Hopefully ade goes and we can bring in berahino.

If we was to bring in say berahino, njie and McCarthy which i would be happy with, that has to be around 50 million worth of talent.
Surely we are not prepared to spend that amount even though the benefits to the team would be tangable.

We will spend what we make on sales (including brook house) as we have done for the last 5 years. Wont change till the stadium is finished i doubt.

I agree. I don't want to. I so don't want to agree. But my desire doesn't make you any less correct :(

Exactly what Im trying to say its sell one buy one policy although there is probably a bit more in the kitty, however those three would represent quite an outlay which might not be feasable.
Still if anyone is to do it then levy is your man.

I am not too worried since our starting 11 not gonna change much except Toby... So our squad still intact and I hope they step up one more level this season.

Btw where is Lamela, Soldado? Still on leave?

yeah seemingly for Lamela that 6 mins during the season plus the 6 mins at the Copa America wore him out

I think some are being a little impatient.
We could be working on these deals as ITK suggests.
Who cares about other clubs and there signings, as long as we get who we need then it's all good.

How much do we actually have from sales as of now? Including all outs this summer minus the amount from the 3 we've bought. Not much there is there?
