Ah phew.. I couldn't go on twitter to check what the setup of this tweet was, so glad to hear this.

... also worries me that Gards has this opinion on Bolasie.. he is not a Spurs player, no thanks to £10m let alone 20m
Why does Gard's opinion worry you? Has he been made head of recruitment?

I know but I'm forever the optimist.

I hope he goes to City instead of Chelsea. They seem a better fit.

Would be nice to make a cheeky bid for him. Just to raise the stakes for both Chelsea and Man City.

Realistically I'd be happy with Berahino. Even though we've had an exodus of Midfield players gone I don't think it's crucial to get on.

If someone of Schneiderlin stature is available then great, if not then we're better of sticking with what we have.

Not seen enough of Kramer to have an opinion.

Wermer would be an unbelievable acquisition, the lad has so much promise.

You think Werner has promise? Kramer, although a different type of player is on another level to Werner.

As the comment beneath you says, technically speaking he's said he dosn't think he's an improvement..

So if Kramer doesn't happen and McCarthy becomes too expensive who is our plan C???
Sissokho probably. Less DM than box to box, or leave it till someone more suitable becomes available.

I can now see the nucleus of a team that will grow together and possibly gel into something wonderful in future years, but we don't have to panic but expensive signings that may lead to more disruption than anything else.

Unlike other teams our finances are not based on CL qualification on an annual basis. We have the stadium being financed separately etc. CL is less important in the short term for club exposure and building the brand.

The squad is so much younger and hopefully hungrier than it was. Poch seems to have identified those willing to buy in to his plan and remember this is a plan that has a 5 year contract attached to it. Levy would not have done that unless it was a signal that he had weighed the options (FDB, Sherwood) and decided that Poch had the better vision.

The itk so far this window has signalled a slow and steady approach that I for one appreciate.

I think the berahino deal will be very good.

Werner makes sense as he can play both flanks and also just off the main striker.

Krammer is a good young midfielder and covers the squad positions vacated by the trio who have left.

McCarthy is obviously a serious target. However i cannot see us coming up with a deal if Everton hold out for the fee being mooted.

I am so much happier with this window and how we are going about it. No moire silly interests in players who will cost too much and will never actually sign.

Instead young energetic players who can play in a variety of roles and all have a resale value.

Much more like it.

Perfectly summed up on all points. I love Tim Sherwood, and as I said how long can WBA resist their player's wishes. Looks like we will have an exciting week with ins and outs. Hopefully both forward and midfield covered for now.
I think the original poster here - Dazza - used to be itk. Not sure if he still is.

For me, I'd go with a one or two season solution now in bringing in someone like Carrick, who's available, as is Cambiasso. Both well in their dotage but capable of a short term A grade success.

If we could get berahino and one from Kramer/McCarthy before Utd that would set us up superbly imo probably the best enic window ever.
Even if they come in after would still be good and maybe one young striker in on deadline day to round it off.

Neither would be short term success in a Pochettino team. As nice an idea as it is.

Gards tweeted about Bolasie an hour ago. Said anyone who doesn't think he isn't an improvement doesn't know football. Has they're been any YB ITK recently?

That's a triple negative which makes it a negative. Which part of the sentence the negative refers to is confusing though. I'm hoping it means what I think it means which is - we don't want Bolasie.

When he says 'Perfectly summed up on all points'- does that mean he agrees and we'll get Werner :playful::playful::playful::playful::playful:

This is the actual tweet to clear it up. Just opinion.

How any spurs fan@can say bolasie isn't an improvement has no football knowledge! End of!

What a load of bollocks. Guy has clearly not watched Bolasie play for an extensive period, yet wants to spout that drivel. Bolasie scored 3 goals in one freak game where every time he struck a ball it didn't end up out of the stadium (before that he had 1 league goal in the prem), the guy can't run in a straight line. Doesn't seem to be ITK, just stating a massively incorrect opinion imo.
