Gotta get something sorted soon. Bent gets injured before United with mason out too we are screwed, same goes for Kane. Can't walk into season with only 3 cm fit one being a kid from league one and one striker with Bobby and adey elsewhere. We're gambling more by not gambling. Especially with Ramos and Pepe coming up.

Our squad at cm is much bigger than 6 months ago - despite selling Capoue, Stambouli and Paulhino none of who played much or affected games. We have Mason (injured but close to recovery), Bentaleb, Dembele, Carroll (Played PL football), Alli, Veljkovic who is more than ready to play first team football and Dier who has been playing DM in pre-season - that's 6 fit cm options and one recovering cm. Last season we seemed totally dependent on Mason and Bentaleb.

Right now we are exactly the same as last season at striker - hopefully we will get another in the next week or two, but unless Kane is injured its a 'nice to have' not an essential for the Man U match.

If vorm picks up an injury in munich we'll have to go with glover. Yet people aren't panicking about goalies.
Not saying that striker isn't a concern just an observation.
Because they are not the same. Anybody can pick a ball out of the net. Not everybody can put the ball in the net.

Edit: I see some people really don't get the meaning behind this post.

A goalie can, on his own, "only" save 1 point. A frequent goal getter can, on his own, get all 3 points for his team. Naturally, a goalie AND a goal getter can together secure a win for a team, but a goalie alone can't do that. That's why fans are a bit more concerned about in form goal getters (a term here meant in its broadest sense). They are more precious when looking at the chance of getting all 3 points.

McGee is a very good keeper and I'm hoping Lloris will be back very soon. Anyway no more off topic comments from me. In levy we trust!!!! :cautious:

There isn't a thread for moaning that you've lost your access to this part of the site because I lock them whilst laughing like the result of a drunken union between a donkey and a hyena. But i'm sure anyone who ignores this, the 498th hint on the matter will want to start one.

What some people (for whatever reason) still don't get is that the tongue in cheek stuff, the having a laugh etc etc, is what this thread thrives on. Of course the ITK as well, of course…... but this thread can create a fun atmosphere at times and i've never really had an issue with that kind of thing. Hell, I encourage it, i'm one of the worst for doing it. Who wants to be miserable all the time? I know i'm a Spurs fan but fuck that……….

But when people start talking about Jenas? The merits of Bentaleb/Mason/Walker? Self imposed deadlines to make a signing? The team for our next match? How we played in our last match? And plenty of others things that have or are still currently having the arse discussed out of them in Spurs Chat then we're going to say something, of course we are. We shouldn't have to, people should know by now, but it still happens.

This thread is unique in how its moderated. It has its own set of rules that sets it apart from the rest of SC and if some people just started to use a bit of common sense, it'd be a hell of a lot easier to read, to participate in and to moderate. But as it is its pretty much incessant. Its a shame because that just results in less patience and a more heavy handed approach……...
Breath wasted. Heavy handed time. Don't complain…..You're responsible for what you post.

some bits from ali z although i tihnk we have heard most of it before:
Min of 2 wf/f plus dm maybe one more later. one of wf will be able to play up top.
Lennons a goner only reason he has not gone yet clubs know he is a risk for few reasons i can't mention, Townsend could go for a big offer.

I'm a bit concerned for Lennon, if it was just an attitude problem then someone would have come in thinking they could offer a new beginning etc. Injured? I don't recall an injury last year. Long term niggles due to his former speedster status. Still think it is a shame he is on the way out. Last major link to the King, Vdv years.

the plot really thickens about what happened with Lennon behind the scenes. I know we'll never know but he was a good servant to the club to seemly be ending like this is a shame. Still positive ITK and I'm looking forward to the games this week. COYS

We'd be mad not to sell him if we get a good offer.

His stock, unbelievably, is still relatively high. It won't be this time next year.

Top bloke and Spurs and all, but he's still not getting what its all about on the pitch. For a bright guy off the field, it really is bewildering but a good offer and we should sell IMO.
