We dont line up as 4-3-3 so why do people keep posting 4-3-3 FFS :dead:

I think there is a confusion, do we post the team we would play or are we to post the team we think Poch will play?

I have asked a few times

Really hope Lloris is fit enough:

Lloris
Trippier Alde Verts Rose
Alli Bentaleb
Lamela Dembele Chadli
Kane
Chadli or Eriksen is a tough one. I think poch will pick the hardest working players for this one, so hopefully Dembele at 10 so he can drop back into the middle and he'll probably go with Lamela for his tracking back on the right... Hopefully not at 10. I'd like to see Trippier on the right, although Walker did ok yesterday.

You get to choose! Or guess Poch's and then add your preferred set up. Winner gets... Erm.. A minor sense of satisfaction at being so astute. ;)

I'd be surprised if we see anything other than this.

I'd also be surprised if that team gets anything other than a bit of a spanking. But we shall see, and even if we do get tonked I suppose there's the hope that we'll have some new signings come September.

I don't think Lamela and certainly Mason/Townsend/Pritchard will be deemed match ready by the coaching staff after late starts to pre season and injury respectively. We know he pays a lot of heed to fitness, conditioning and statistics relating to this area. Obviously there is also a huge doubt about Lloris too.

I think the certain starters in Pochs eyes will be Rose, Bentaleb, Kane and Eriksen. I also think that Alderweireld has put himself as Pochs 1st choice CB.

Although I think Wimmer will play a big part this season, I think Verts will make up the CB pairing and although i'd like Trippier to start to give us an extra dimension to our play (decent crossing, which Rose/Walker dont give), Walker will probably get the nod.

We will have to assume that we will be starting a CM2 against Utd- with NB being 1st choice I am not sure who will start alongside him. Dier isn't a natural midfielder, Mason has been injured, Alli has impressed but is young/inexperienced, same with Winks. With Lamela and AT probably not deemed fit to start Dembele will probably be playing in the AM3 and therefore not available for CM.

I can see Poch going with the 'safer' choice of Dier alongside Bentaleb- not my preferred idea.

For the front 3 behind Kane, there actually isnt any choice if we arent considering youth options such as Onomah/Oduwa (the right decision for OT). Pritchard, Townsend and probs Lamela won't be considered for the start due to fitness meaning it has to be Chadli and Dembele either side of Eriksen. Which I don't particularly like as a unit.

Anyways Poch will probably go for this:

Lloris (if fit)

Walker
Toby
Verts
Rose

Dier
Bentaleb

Dembele
Eriksen
Chadli

Kane

Subs:

Vorm/Lloris
Lamela
Alli
Carroll/Winks/Onomah
Wimmer
Trippier
Davies

Squad excludes transfer rumours out - Fazio/Soldado/Ade/Lennon Injured- Townsend/Mason/Pritch

I certainly expect Dembele to play. For me yesterday, he was the only one really trying to mix it aggressively with RM and really showed a battling nature to his game. It was nice to see. He made some mistakes but most of the time he either won it back immediately or fouled the player preventing any breakaways.

I thought Eriksen looked nothing short of bored yesterday. He's a laid back dude and I would bet he doesn't care for friendlies. That said, he does work hard when it comes to competitive fixtures so I think he will start LW, with Lamela on RW and Dembele at the 10. I also think there's a good chance that Alli will partner Bentaleb in CM but wont be shocked if he goes with Dier.

Lastly, I like that we're all picking Trippier at RB but I dont think he's going to start. Walker has played a lot in pre-season and I still think he's got the job for now.

Lloris/Vorm

Walker Toby Verts Rose

Alli Bentaleb

Lamela Dembele Eriksen

It doesn't matter who plays, as we look totally inept at creating any chances, so be very surprised if we trouble the score board

Switch Lamela and Dembele and I like that line up with our current squad.

We weren't schooled at wembley we outplayed a team who spends 100's of millions on a squad and got beat by a couple of deflected goals. Stop being so bloody negative and how are we weaker everywhere else. We can't be weaker than last season when our first 11 is the same plus trippier,Toby and Wimmer, that makes no sense. Are you just making things up as you go.
We got out thought by a better manager in the final. Are you happy with what we are going into the season with? Do you think the players you mentioned will help us get a result at OT ? Who will stop runners from midfield ? Who will create chances for us ? And if Kane isn't on blob who scores for us ? Because the side we put out on sat will be very similar to the one that got slaughtered there last season and now they are stronger. We should be stronger and going into the season with optimism instead there's lots of doubt flying about and we have no idea of our best or strongest 11. Bored of it. Same every season tbh

Looks like walker will be starting, going by the team against Milan.

Good call, IMO.

I think we need someone on the left who can stay wide and has at least some pace to take advantage of Mata's lack of tracking back. So probably Chadli with Eriksen in the #10 position.

This was close a couple of weeks ago - After today, I think Dembele in for Lamela. Pritchard and Soldado won't make the bench though.

Think we have changed our system from 4-2-3-1 to a more 4-3-3 and 4-5-1 when defending.

---------Kane---------
--Chadli-------Eriksen

Ali-----Bentaleb---Dembele

Rose--Verts-Toby--Trippier

------Lloris(if ready)-----
