Funny how such an exciting prospect seems to be met with such a 'meh' response by most ligue 1 followers. Maybe it's due to being in lacazette's shadow.

This combination of pace, eye for goal but also eye for a pass isn't common.

I've probably only seen him play a handful of times and I don't know what price is being bandied about but he's a lively fucker that's for sure. He's got pace, decent technique, can use both feet, but what I like best about the bits I've seen is, he also gets his head up and creates things for others amidst the mayhem of the box. Played primarily as a wide forward on either side I think. Still very raw and with that some eratic-ness - nature of the position too.

Although it was he who ended up scoring in this example, it completely epitomizes what you've just described. His goal against PSG in the 1-1 draw. He was great in that game I saw.

You know what I'm going to ask- would you be for or against this signing?

JJ reckons its Berahino he's referring to.

Not like it matters though - if we end up with both!
And JJ's hint yesterday suggests we may/will get both. Add an experienced DM and we have reached near-perfection with this window.

Good question - but has anyone seen enough to give a decent opinion.

And if they have, can they opine on whether Werner or N'Jie would be the better signing and why ?

Where did JJ say this mate? Sorry but I'm on holiday and have terrible internet connection so having to skim pretty much everything and appear to have missed this one!

Its since been deleted...but the article in which Poch was talking about hopefully having a striker within the next few days..he said could well be Berahino.

Thanks mate. Really hope it's true. Berahino and N'Jie seem (fairly) close and if we can get them done smoothly (I won't hold my breath) then that will put us in a very good position, hopefully this time next week. That gives us the rest of the window for one signing, a DM, which the Goat did suggest could be a late one and it would seem that may well be the case. If, and it's a big if, the two forwards go through within the next week and we sign Bender over the remainder of the window this will be an immense summer as far as I'm concerned. Really could go either way though so I won't be saying "it's the best transfer window ever" yet but the potential to be a great one is certainly there

Any idea what money is being bandied about ? If he's priced right I think he's actually something we don't have. He's a bit raw and erratic but he's quick, direct, drives at defenders and unlike Townsend, there is often some end product. He can also use both feet and play left or right. But I wouldn't want to be spending too much as I think he's bit more Victor Moses than Willian.

£10.6m (€15m).

We offered £8.4m + add-ons that would add up to £10.6m I think, but they want the money in full.

Fair price I would say, given that many of the Lyon fans are annoyed that he is probably being sold.

Deleted or not, neither N'jie or Werner are really strikers. The line of questions was about Liverpool buying a £32m striker and us going into the season with just one striker, surely Poch wouldn't then respond that we have a target coming in if that target is a winger.

He'd also just said that he'd prefer English talent.

Excited about the possibility of signing this lad. Love signing a forward I know little about and what I do know I like. Young, versatile, quick and a lot of potential. Seemingly pretty selfless, not very expensive and if he can add to his goal tally then this might end up being a real shrewd bit if business. I like the idea of this

Also, I hope they follow up their rumoured interest in Fazio. I like him and think he's hard done to on here but it's fair to say the Belgian duo will be starting and Wimmer and Dier will hopefully be the cup partnership, forming a good relationship from a young age. Fazio is a good player and deserves better than 5th choice, I imagine we could probably make our money back on him and I guess he's on a decent wage. Seems like a waste for everyone if he's just reserve and would like to see him thrive in the peak of his career. Would mean that this is almost a straight swap as well in terms of the fees involved. Think it'd be a good move for everyone so I would like to see it come off

Olympique Lyonnais is currently in advanced negotiations for the sale of Clinton Njie Tottenham.Cameroon striker proved last season in the very young Rhone attack and has done well out of the game thanks to the trust placed in him by Hubert Fournier. The Lyon coach was regularly criticized for its insistence to use Njie, especially as it was at the expense of Yassine Benzia, one of the great hopes of longtime club. But at a time when Njie will probably leave the OL to fill the coffers and allow it to recruit in other gaming sectors, Fournier took the opportunity to remember that it finally had been so wrong it to insist on his case.
"The starting Njie? It's difficult. But a few months ago I was criticized because I put him on the ground, and now ... It goes fast, football, "said a Hubert Fournier who did not want to say too much, aware that loss of this attack was likely to lead to arrivals in midfield and defense, what he clearly needs now.

Im hoping that this is all a big missunderstanding, and we are going for (Ntep insted. Would love to see Ntep, Thauvin and Berahino. Njie not sure about....

If we are not going for them now, I would bet 50£ that Ntep and Thauvin will play in another big euro club this or next summer..... ChelShit..
