Berahino + N'jie is a nice blend of attributes and will give us alternatives and options, so fingers crossed. The CM area still remains the priority and has been all window, hopefully we will get some progress on that front who ever it may be

Thanks ITK's. I'm getting married tomorrow and instead of having my first dance I'm going to be checking to see if Berahino is in the squad for WBA. Guess the mrs will have to sit and wait...

Got a feeling after N'jie and Berahino we will see a last minute attempt from us for Bender and that'll be that.

CM from ITK and poch quotes doesn't seem to be the priority it should be.

Perhaps a feeling we have the right personnel? Ridiculous if so

I think it will be Njie and Berahino...and then a left field move for someone on or around deadline day.

L'equipe reported him injured last week prior to the Champions' cup - thigh problem.

If we sign Njie, Berahino and Bender I'd be truly chuffed. We'd have a more stable defence, steel in midfield and plenty of attacking options.

I don't think it has been left too late.
There has been multiple ITK that CM/DM is being addressed. No names were given beyond the usual suspects, although it was strongly suggested there was another name in the mix that would go on a bit longer as he addressed his options.
I'll use Illarramendi as the example here, may be him, may not be. However, my point is this, Liverpool have been linked very recently, but there is also a suggestion that they aren't really in need. We were linked back in Feb/Mar as looking at him. Fits the style of player we need, Real aren't in need of a replacement and have openly made him available, so a deal is there to be done. Maybe just waiting for him to weigh up his options before committing.
Equally we were linked with Ignacio Camacho around the same time. Again, fits the bill stylistically, but currently recovering from surgery, so potentially could be the reason for waiting.
Could all mean nothing. No specific ITK for either, other than the fact they could fit the bill for the unnamed CM we are waiting on, and both would have reasons for a delay. Just making the point really, that just because the window is ticking down, there's no reason we are doomed to end up empty handed. There are players out there of high calibre, available, and as ITK often suggests, not everything that's going on is let out into the public domain.

Not guessing whether we will or not, but if we don't sign a DM by the end of the window then I'd be shocked at the seeming incompetence of whoever is involved with tranfers.

Don't want to seem down but a window where we, yet again, find ourselves in a position where we have to wait until next season to complete the squad, is unacceptable for a team supposedly with ambition.

This is very true unfortunately, it's always "let's see who we bring in next window" but never balance the squad out, if we don't get a DM this window I don't think poch will be around to round the squad out and the whole saga starts again with a new manager!!

I have a feeling Poch is deliberately underming our need for a DM to the media, as previously posted ITK suggests that our DM target may have other options, if our need was blatant to the public/other clubs then it could compromise any last minute deal they have in place to sort the position out. If we seem laxed about it and time ticks down with the target our chances increase significantly as we could end up being the best option for the player. It's a gamble but it could work out in our favor.
