the Goat

The Goat hears that its possible we'll have two in and maybe even two out by the end of the week. Also United are still very interested in Kane but have been given the short answer, Levy isn't for selling, even at 45m.
That's a beat the meat bleat.

Poch just said in his press conference that the club may sign a striker this week, and that we need one or two players more.

Is Poch ITK?

Also, everyone seems to be convinced that Townsend is one of the outs, but have there been any credible links to him? It all seemed like paper talk about him to Villa.

No disrespect to the goat ITK, I take all in good faith and never doubt them (things change, not their fault), but I would be stunned if we even got one in this week. Especially the likes of Berahino, Illaramendi and Bender. Maybe lesser options we don't know about.

Our primary options have last minute written all over them, especially the way this window has gone.

Good news Levy giving short shrift to Utd though, £45m is a huge offer to be fair. Helps when the player is fully committed.

Obviously I'm desperate to be proved wrong by the furry one.

Well it looks like Fazio is on the way out, Telegraph just reported that we've agreed 5 mill fee with WBA.

That certainly make the Fazio deal a lot more plausible, and imminent imo. You know Levy's not signing off on that without getting a better deal on Berahino.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see Berahino in this week. From the ITK it's clear talks have been going for sometime. I imagine once a fee is settled it would move along quickly. (Although saying that Spurs agreeing a fee isn't always quick work.)

£45m is a flattering offer, but who in the hell would we buy to replace him? Berahino is a great option as a backup ST and WF, but we'd need 2-3 more strikers to replace Kane. You'd have enough money to buy Austin, Berahino, and maybe one more prospect. And we'd likely spend four times Kane's wages to get strikers in.

Don't think it said we've agreed/accpeted...just that they've made a 5 million pound bid.

Agree as if we will let him go for that fee. Particularly when paid 8 million pounds which was his release clause fee. He is easily worth in excess of 8 million pounds anyway.

Like Berahino is worth at least £25m?

Agree. No serious ITK about incoming RWFs (Yarmalenko pooh poohed by everyone) and Lamela and Dembele putting in poor performances in that position too.

Ade, Lennon, Fazio and Carroll are the last 4 in the exit lounge for this window IMO
