Here's the thing.... it's Sports PERSONALITY of the Year, not Sports PERSON of the Year.
Much as he might appear to be a bit of a cock, Fury has more personality than the rest of the nominees combined.
Unfortunately the BBC seem to have forgotten the Personality element of the title.
As for his opinions and beliefs - he's entitled to them, just like we are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs.
It's not like he has stood there and threatened to kill someone if they don't agree with him.
The media like to knock people off their stools when they achieve something.
