I must say that I would have preferred to have had a striker signed. However, as has been pointed out when HK didn't play we still won. The home game against Monaco springs to mind where rather than HK being a target man (and his link up play also missing) we had the front four playing quick passing and we scored 4. It might not be our usual way of playing, but it was nevertheless very effective. I accept that perhaps Monaco might not be as good as the top EPL clubs but they are still a good side and were unable to cope that night.

So in the absence of a last minute deal, whilst I hope that HK does not get injured, I think we will still cope and get a top 4 spot.

Look at it this way Daniel says hey Mauriccio I'm going to the shops do you want anything.
Mauriccio says yeah Dan get me a Snickers
Dan says what shall I get if they don't have a snickers
Mauriccio says nothing it's not that I need a chocolate bar it's just that I would like a snickers if they don't have one don't get me anything oh and if he tries to charge you 100 quid for a snickers tell him to fuck off and if he says I can have a snickers in the summer but I have to pay for it now again tell him to fuck off.
Dan says oh ok Maurricio
Daniel doesn't feel now that he should buy him a bounty or a topic because Mauriccio only wants a snickers
Hmmm if I know Danny boy, there is still a chance he might pop to Lidl and get a 6 pack of 'peanut & choco's for the same price...

@Rob can you close this section ip again. There are enough of our own having a bad day without letting the trolls in. Surly the traffic tonight can't be anything like normal window levels for stress testing

There are exceedingly few players who would have been more suited to stepping in for Kane, in terms of the fitness and tactical understanding required for Poch's system, than are Chadli and Son at this point in the season.

The real failing was not today but rather the brinksmanship and lack of viable alternatives to Berahino that played out over the summer.

Or just don't open the transfer section if you don't want to.

Nonsense.
Honestly! I did see it!

I know what you mean. If you look at the first team profiles, there are 24 players. Subtract Pritchard, Yedlin & Fazio (gone), then N'Jie, Vertonghen and Mason (injured) and you have 18 players, one of which is Vorm. However, Onomah is not shown in either the first team or academy profiles.

Bizarrely, Onomah doesn't feature in the 2015/16 statistics either. Did we imagine him?
