From Hertyid on COYS:
In no particular order....

Paxton will be coming down mid-season. That's why ST renewals not happened yet. Announcement coming in the next fortnight.

Wembley is almost done. They can host all our games in 17/18 so long as they shut top tier and have max capacity 50k.

Every club is going through the West Ham deal with their lawyers but unlikely anything comes of it.

Nike deal is done.

Ousmane Dembele - we think we are front of the queue. I know very little about him. I actually thought my guy was talking about Moussa 2 for the first 30 seconds.

Less boxes in the new WHL, all the emphasis is on corporate areas. Aka Club Level. We sent our commercial dept to the Allianz for a fact finding mission and we are using this as a base for a lot of the new stadium ideas.

Son and Wimmer are best mates. Son won an Asian footballer of the year award this year and took Wimmer as his date.

Ledley King is an absolute legend. So is Ossie. But number one Spurs legend is Steffen Freund.

There is no way anyone at Spurs leaves this summer, unless Poch wants them gone.

The club have faith in Son, but are unsure on Clinton.

How dare he? Nobody is more of a legend than Ledley

Maybe Son is having problems with the English language but having played in Germany speaks better German. Wimmer, being Austrian also speaks German...... !?

If the news about Ousmanne Dembele is true and does eventuate, I can understand the choice of Michy over Lazacatte. Dembele is similar to Lacazette, but younger and more raw. Hence not having 2 of the same type of wide forwards. Exciting times if (and a big if) we are near these kinds of players.

I could probably confirm that too. Been working on site at the new ground (put photos in stadium thread) and there was a time lapse video showing how the project would be carried out. The man doing the induction was doing a running commentary and did say a stand is being knocked down while we were still playing there. I just thought that was one of he old ideas before we would be playing away from the lane for a season. As I wrote in the other thread, he also said we were going to Wembley for the season away.

Liked a lot of what I read there, although the bit about who is the bigger Spurs legend seemed a bit weird and out of place.

I'm also a little sad that we wont play our final games at WHL in a complete stadium. I think it will be feel a bit wrong to see it starting to be torn down before the season is over, that said, if it helps in speeding up the build of the new stadium then so be it.

Interesting about Dembele. A lot of news coming out of Germany that Dortmund are front of the queue.

I'm not sure why, but I have reservations about Clinton too.

I don't think he's a bad player. I just haven't seen anything that says to be he'll become a top, top player.

Hope I'm wrong.

On what basis?

Not looking for an argument, interested
Well, pace would be one factor. On the other hand though, his first touch can be criminal. (Although somebody already tried their best/worst at proving me wrong on this).
The cynic in me is tempted to say that if they rate Son over N'Jie, they can't really rate either one of them extremely well so far.

His touch is slightly heavy, that would be my main issue with him.

He was 10m though, you wouldn't necessarily expect him to be a top, top player. If he can form part of an effective squad and offer something different that will do for me.

I think it's a left footed attacker to give Lamela some competition that we really lack. I always wondered if Carroll could play there - some of his best work seems to be in the final third
