I think Clint's got great technique and good instincts. Just needs a good poching.

I think he's bursting with potential and hope we give him a proper shot.

Poch seems to willing to give everyone a proper chance and clint hasn't even got going yet, so I can't see him being ejected so soon.

Should have come on against WB, could have done with his 'electricity' for 20mins.

Could also have done with Pritchard as an option on the F-U-C-K-I-N-G BENCH!!

On the stadium, whatever needs to be done. We can't miss the completion deadline. Kinell, even getting to the stage of having a smaller ground than Chelsea and West Ham is a betrayal. This can be stomached only briefly. Certainly not for three fkin years.

Would like someone more battle ready than o Dembele or the bloke on Athleticos books but levy will probably fancy a cheaper deal than batman or lacazette, especially after Alli s age and purchase price.

I was disappointed we signed son and njie in the first place when one would have done given the wide forwards already on the books and given neither was anywhere near suitable to compete with HK. But H has shown remarkable consistency and durability to get the club out of jail.

Perhaps unconvinced in the sense of training hard and getting back to fitness after injury, rather than ability demonstrated thus far? Recall the very smart turn and quick getaway followed by pinpoint cross for Lamela v city at home as a sign of what he can do. Also a nice curled effort that mignolet clawed away. Hope he grabs whatever chance he earns, and quite fancy him to do well away from home including in Europe where we can exploit his pace.

I'm not sure why, but I have reservations about Clinton too.

I don't think he's a bad player. I just haven't seen anything that says to be he'll become a top, top player.

Hope I'm wrong.

Well, pace would be one factor. On the other hand though, his first touch can be criminal. (Although somebody already tried their best/worst at proving me wrong on this).
The cynic in me is tempted to say that if they rate Son over N'Jie, they can't really rate either one of them extremely well so far.

His touch is slightly heavy, that would be my main issue with him.

He was 10m though, you wouldn't necessarily expect him to be a top, top player. If he can form part of an effective squad and offer something different that will do for me.

I think it's a left footed attacker to give Lamela some competition that we really lack. I always wondered if Carroll could play there - some of his best work seems to be in the final third

Hmm. I must have been living in some parallel universe where Clinton was barely playing and always injured.

With the Clinton thing, I can kind of see why. The talent is there but he is more of an inside forward, IMO he does not have the close control or the passing ability to play as one of our AM trio, and he is not a lone striker.

The only way I see him fitting as playing in and around Kane, like Chadli has done a couple of times. However I doubt Poch will change the formation so I cannot see where he will fit.

Personally he seems like an exciting talent and I would like to see him stay, but I cannot see Poch changing the system just for him.

Maybe there is something more to that Freund quote as well. What does he do these days? Is he still at the club?

He's got Timmeh's old job - technical co-ordinator. He oversees the transition between academy and first team squad, and keeps an eye on the players out on loan.

With regards to the "Nike deal done" I'm assuming that's the shirt deal and not a full stadium sponsorship.

When it comes to shirts, I believe the rumor is that Daniel is trying to secure the shirt sponsor as the stadium sponsor (a la Emirates), versus the kit designer.

Not disputing but how go you know that?
It's one of those transfers that hasnt been announced yet but its essentially done. Like the Wimmer transfer last season. Was all done and dusted during the season and everyone knew it but the announcement wasnt made for a while

He has signed for Dortmund so I don't understand what you're trying to debate here.....

I'm not particularly fussy if Dembele does sign for Dortmund but I find it irritating that you're stating that he already has like it is fact when we all know it isn't. Unless you're claiming to be ITK, which I don't think you are, then maybe you could just dial it back a few notches and it wouldn't rile people up as much.

Okay i have to defend jair on this one . People here were talking the same way about Wimmer last season and no one said a word. Also, lets be real here, if this was us instead of Dortmund, no one would say a word and would probably shower jair with positive ratings for once.

The stadium deal won't be negotiated until the year before it opens. The more risk there is of it not being completed (at all, at spec, on time), the lower the fee will be. We might be able to get say £15m pa now, or £25m pa in 18 months' time when it's stood tall and proud.

While I do think O.Dembele to Dortmund is likely, it isn't like the Wimmer transfer at all. Wimmer and his club spoke openly about him joining the club before it was announced. This isn't (yet, at least) the case with Dembele.
