And you don't think it's slightly strange that these "rumours" are starting at the most important part of the season? I think you are being a bit harsh, no need for the outright attack, was just an opinion.

I don't find it strange at all. Transfer window is over, media need stories to fill pages and websites, they always target Man Utd, Liverpool etc as they have the most fans and will therefore shift more papers and generate more clicks.

It's not a conspiracy. Take your tin foil hat off.

Read in the papers today that Dan Walker is a creationist (which is the more depressing waste of bbc funds) so solid proof wouldn't be a problem for him...

I don't think there is anything underhanded to this story - Man U need a new manager and MP is doing rather well.

However, there have been many many times in seasons' gone by where our best player just happens to be linked to the club we are playing 2/3 days before we play them (used to happen all the time with Chelsea, goon scum and Man U).

That article actually hints at fuck all. It's not even asking him of he's staying at Spurs, it asks him if he would go to another country, and even then his answer isn't categorical:

Would I rule out a return to Spain? Never. It’s clear that people have dreams. You need to live day by day and not think too much about the future. What will happen, will happen.”

If anything that hints at him leaving for Spain not staying

From the same papers telling us that Conte signed on two weeks ago, and that Mourinho 'a done deal at United' is now set to be overlooked for Van Gaal into Giggs. Give me a break.

Christ on a bike. Overreaction much? He's allowed to tweet rumours and opinion. It's got fuck all to do with BBC neutrality. This isn't some media conspiracy to destroy our title challenge. It's a rumour. And like it or not, Poch is going to get linked with the top jobs, just as our players are always linked with big money moves. It's a symptom of performing well.

Personally I think Mourinho is nailed on for the United job, but that's not going to stop people talking and speculating, or websites from posting click bait articles about it.

You sound like a deluded scouser on RAWK.

Because we didn't have the BBC running interviews with ex-Utd players saying shit like 'when Redknapp is England manager he should... etc' during the week before we played them that season...

Oh wait, no, that's exactly what they did. The BBC have been kneeling down to suck Utd's dick ever since Fergie refused to speak to them for years.

I was approached by Charlize Theron. Doesn't mean I would lower my standards and smash her. Neither will Poch

Cannot see anything in this personally, too public for anything underhand for a start

Sir Alex Ferguson meets Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino for lunch in London

I hope I am right....as for me this shows just how much respect Fergie has for Poch. And it was Fergie who came down to London to meet him
Hopefully, Poch drew out a few "secrets" from Fergie, so he can take Spurs even "further" next season :D

It's widely known that Fergie has huge respect for Poch and rates him highly as a manager. I would bet this was more of a meeting to simply talk, get to know each other better and possibly even Fergie offering to be something of a mentor/advisor.

I'm not concerned for 1 second that it has anything to do with Man Utd. Equally Levy would sooner have Poch sit on gardening leave for the remainder of his contract before allowing him to go to anywhere.

I also heard on TalkShite this morning that LVG vetoed the Renato Sanchez deal (which is probably just Utd trying to appease their fans that they didn't actually want him) and the suggestion is that LVG may well now stay for next season. I hope so, he's wank.

This is one of two things:

1) ferguson is approaching Poch for United and selling the whole United project to him.

2) Ferguson does work with a lot of managers giving advice and sharing experience. Potentially this is what this was about.

However, we know United want a new manager. We know Ferguson rates him as the best manager in the league. We know Poch has not signed his new deal yet

Don't feel optimistic about this...

Hope I'm wrong as Poch is essential to our club and its continued growth

But that's a debate for another thread.....

The lunch was way too public for it to have been anything but just lunch. People are getting themselves worked up over nothing.
