Glad to get this sorted! A much needed second striker! Hopefully this will also boost Harry, knowing now we actually have some one who will replace him if he's having a duff game/run of games.

Woohoo!!
Looks exactly what we need. Will play one of the two supporting forward roles.

We created more chances than any other team in the Premier League last season, no idea how anybody can say we lack creativity with our best players.

Did we? I'm amazed by that. I wouldn't be surprised if we had most shots, but that doesn't equal most chances.

My sense is we didn't create enough really good chances at times.

We're talking about fine margins though, we were better going forward last year than we've been in ages

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and white
Hopefully he isn’t shite
With eyes that know where to find the goal

They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

Or something good, whatever.

Of course I'm pleased about VJ. A centre forward to give Harry competition, a back-up or even a player to (hopefully) compliment him and play as part of a pair or main target man.

Why am I not super excited though? Maybe this has gone on too long and we've known we were likely to sign him. Or maybe it's because I feel we could be missing a trick and have not signed a completely different type of player - someone who could offer a wholly different type of dimension to our play - through pure pace or trickery. Cue the Son, Clinton comments here...

There's no doubt we are building a monster team and squad which will hopefully be very good and strong and should be too much for a lot of our opponents.

Onions of course and you never know, something may yet happen. I'll reiterate though I am happy enough we've signed him though of course.

We still need a pacey/tricky winger. Lennon and Bale gave us a counter attacking threats we've lost since they left.

Of course I don't, but there will be a budget, and overpaying for a player will reduce that budget. A £2m - £5m saving is money that can be spent elsewhere. Not really that hard to grasp.

So , we shouldn't have signed him. Is that what you're saying?
