Carter-Vickers, Walker-Peters, Glover, Walkes, Miller, Edwards and Harrison all given a place in our Champions League squad (via @thfcAcademy)

Luke Amos and Dominic Ball also listed, but no squad number.

I don't think that is actually us registering them and just just UEFA putting up a complete squad list. There is another round before we have to register and there is no mention of who is on the a and who is on the b list and it is also the "domestic competition" page not the CL page.

Still no news on Kirby. He's not been turning out for Chelski or the Gooners in the last week or so's youth friendlies. It'll be a real shame if he misses the boat and ends up at a second rate academy.

Heard he'd gone Chelsea for a good amount of future money. Iirc when I mention he trialed at Arsenal my guy said he was still pretty sure he was at Chelsea. Def not with us atm anyhow

How important is this though, doesn't mean they're anymore likely to get played right?

He isn't on the Chelsea website yet but Juan Castillo, who they signed from Ajax this summer, is already on their U18 academy page.

Interesting moves at Man Utd. Jose has somewhat of a reputation of disregarding youth. A whole raft of youngsters are on their way out it seems. Sunderland have just agreed a paltry fee for McNair & Love. Young striker Fletcher left for the Spammers recently. Rumours among United fans is that there are lots more to follow and the likes of Rashford will be played out wide or not at all. Jose wants "seasoned" and "respectable" players with "status" who exude "championship class".

No wonder he can't stay anywhere for very long, the guy is a total short-termist. He puts down no roots. They may well challenge for the league for a season or two but then what? Back to square one.

Bring. Me. Rashford. Get it done, Daniel.

Rashford would have been the perfect compliment to Kane. I really hope Harrison can fill that role. I like Janssen but he's too similar of a striker to Kane. Wouldnt work well bringing him on to partner with Kane to change a game, IMO. Rashford would. Harrison might be able to fill that role perfectly too if he's good enough.

Fletcher had Martial and Wilson who are the same age and Rashford, who is younger ahead of him. On the flip side, they have just signed Bohui (17) from Brentford and Tahith (16) from Feyenoord.

He was completely the wrong appointment to follow van Gaal, who despite his flaws has left the seeds of success at previous clubs re: youngsters.

I don't know if I'd call it the wrong appointment, if short a short term boost is what they're after then Jose is your man. What I would say is it makes the suffering endured under LVG almost completely pointless. He stuck around because he was doing the difficult work of moving on the old guard and giving some of their youngsters experience. If they're just going to ditch those same youngsters now what was the point?

I don't see Rashford and Harrison as comparable players I think they have very different styles, admittedly not seen much of rash ford.

Whats amazing about that video is that every single player on it has amazing technique. This particular intake, which I think is unusual for us, seems to have some very big tall and strong players.

Oakley-Boothe really does look a good talent, as though as an ox but has very nimble feet. He's also one of those players who seems like he could literally play any position if he wanted.

Rashford is extremely overrated due to an unusually high and definitely unsustainable conversion rate. I'd rather have Janssen, who's proven he knows where the goal is in multiple seasons and internationally. It doesn't matter that he's similar to Kane, that's a good thing.
