I don't know if I'd call it the wrong appointment, if short a short term boost is what they're after then Jose is your man. What I would say is it makes the suffering endured under LVG almost completely pointless. He stuck around because he was doing the difficult work of moving on the old guard and giving some of their youngsters experience. If they're just going to ditch those same youngsters now what was the point?
United hit the panic button. No, LVG was not a great manager and probably deserved to be sacked, but Mourinho was completely the wrong replacement. United had a plan for the future and the seeds already planted. They then took that plan and shredded it in favor of trying to buy short term success by spending exorbitant amounts while ignoring the long term by hiring a manager who is terribly averse to using young players

so we consider walkes as a better cb than ball?
I liked him better in what was an extremely small sample size of 1 pre-season game each.

I was quite impressed with Walkes' reading of the game. Ball looked like he was playing checkers and reacting purely to what was happening in front of him, whereas Walkes was playing chess and reacting to what was going to happen.

Moroyin Omolabi is 16? jesus christ he's physically developed.

So we have him and TOB is centre mid - I think I'd sh*t myself if I played against them now, let alone when I was 16. They are seriously big guys.

TOB looks some talent though
